Former Virginia Tech sophomore OL Bryan Hudson transferred to Louisville.
This is a big get for the Cardinals. Hudson was a freshman All-American who made 10 starts at center for the Hokies in 2019. He made eight more starts in 2020, with two of them coming at right guard for Virginia Tech. Hudson (6'4/310) may need to sit out the 2021 season to satisfy transfer requirements, but one way or another he’ll have two more years of eligibility, and should be a contributor in the middle of the offensive line for Scott Satterfield in company.

Virginia Tech received a verbal commitment from four-star 2019 G Bryan Hudson.
Hudson (6'4/292) visited Blacksburg over the weekend, one of three unofficial visits he’s taken to Virginia Tech this spring. He threw his lot in with the Hokies over the likes of Notre Dame and Louisville. Ranking as the No. 214 overall prospect in the 2019 class on the 247Sports composite board, Hudson is an incredibly strong, physical prospect at this stage in his development. He still has work to do on the technical fronts, but that’s par for the course with high school players. This is a tremendous commitment for the Hokies.
