Thursday’s slate and what to watch

Mike Miller

Is finals week over yet? The dearth of interesting hoops games really makes time drag.

(All times ET; TV info from

Oral Roberts at Gonzaga, 9 p.m. (Root Sports)
Big milestone night for the Zags – it’s their 100th game in the New Kennel. Exciting, right? OK, maybe it’s more interesting that they’ve dropped two straight – too Illinois and MSU, hardly anything to fret – and get to focus on Scott Sutton’s squad. The Golden Eagles aren’t a pushover (they did beat Missouri State) but I’m thinking we might see Mark Few’s team show off it’s talents.

UC Irvine at LSU, 8 p.m. (CST)
This is hardly the second-best game of the night, but it’s one of the few that’s also on TV. Plus, it’s also one of the rare times when the Tigers won’t lay an egg when people will notice. At home vs. Irvine? Even rebuilding LSU can’t mess this up.

Bradley at George Washington, 7 p.m.

Montreat at UNC Asheville, 7 p.m.
Wesley College at William & Mary, 7 p.m.
