    Titans waived K Brayden Narveson.
Sounds like a good sign for Nick Folk’s return this week. Narveson missed his only field-goal attempt for the Titans in Week 16.

Titans K Nick Folks (abdomen) is questionable for Week 16 against the Colts.
Head coach Brian Callahan called Folk a game-time call. The veteran kicker has had a few spike weeks with the Titans but could miss Week 16 with an abdomen injury that is likely an extension of the groin issue he dealt with in previous games. The risk isn’t worth the reward for fantasy purposes. Brayden Narveson would take his place in the lineup if Folk sits.

Titans signed K Brayden Narveson to their practice squad.
Incumbent kicker Nick Folk is dealing with an injury and Narveson could kick for the Titans in Week 15 against the Bengals. We know you’re all waiting with bated breath to start the fantasy playoffs with Narveson at kicker. The second-year kicker missed five of 17 attempts with the Packers earlier this year before being replaced by Brandon McManus. Narveson was in training camp with the Titans.

Packers signed K Brandon McManus, formerly of the Jaguars, to a one-year deal.
The Packers released Brayden Narveson in a corresponding move after he missed five of his 17 field goal attempts this season. They now add McManus, a 10-year veteran who spent last season with the Jaguars, his first nine with the Broncos, and made 81.4 percent of his career field goal attempts. McManus was under investigation of alleged sexual assault stemming from a 2023 incident, but the NFL concluded its investigation by determining there was insufficient evidence a violation of the personal conduct policy occurred. He re-joins the NFL with the Packers.

Free agent K Chad Ryland visited the Packers on Tuesday.
Ditto Lucas Havrisik. Brayden Narveson has missed four of 13 field-goal attempts this year for the Packers, including the league’s only sub-40 yard miss through four weeks. The Packers may be ready to make a change.
  • FA Kicker #2
    Packers released K Greg Joseph.
Joseph looked like he was going to win the starting kicker gig after the Packers released Anders Carlson. That lasted about 24 hours, as Green Bay claimed Brayden Narveson off waivers from the Titans, and released Joseph shortly after. The 30-year-old made just 79 percent of his kicks the last two years, and may not find a ton of interest on the free-agent marker.

Packers claimed K Brayden Narveson off waivers from the Titans.
Interesting. Narveson was released despite an impressive preseason that including hitting a game-winning field goal against the Seahawks and a 59-yarder in that preseason bout as well. The 25-year-old is now the only kicker on the roster, so barring another move, it appears Narveson will be the guy handling the tries for Green Bay to begin 2024. There’s a big leg here; notable for those who get extra points for longer makes.

Brayden Narveson made three field goals including a game-winner with no time left against the Seahawks on Saturday in a preseason battle.
Narveson is currently battling Nick Folk for the starting kicking job, and while Folk is considered the favorite, Narveson may have changed things a bit Saturday night. Not only did he hit the game-winner from 46 yards away, he also made one from 59 yards out on top of a chip shot from 21 yards out. Even if Narveson doesn’t win the Titans job, there’s sure to be interest in his leg if he were to hit the waiver wire.
  • Former Iowa State redshirt sophomore K Brayden Narveson transferred to San Diego.
Narveson redshirted his 2018 season, and appeared in four games for the Cyclones; making 2-of-4 kicks for Iowa State before entering the transfer Portal. Narveson (6'1/195) will be eligible to play immediately for the Toreros, and has three years of eligibility left.
