The Spokesman Review’s Theo Lawson reports that Washington State junior DB Daniel Isom has been dismissed from the team due to a violation of team rules.
Isom (6'0/192) has been a versatile piece for the Cougars this season, playing in all nine of the team’s games while making five starts at strong safety and two at cornerback. In that space, the junior has logged 30 tackles with two passes defensed and two forced fumbles. George Hicks and Tyrese Ross are among the players who could potentially be tasked with helping to fill in for Isom down the stretch. Washington State (4-5) will take on Stanford (4-5) on Saturday, in what will be a battle between two squads scrapping and clawing for bowl eligibility.
