Bo Wallace: We can put points on Alabama

Johnny Manziel lights up Alabama a couple times and now, suddenly, everyone thinks the Crimson Tide’s defense is vulnerable.

But not everyone is Johnny Manziel.

Especially not Bo Wallace.

The Mississippi quarterback told the media on Tuesday that the Rebel offense should well against the Crimson Tide when the two teams meet this coming Saturday.

“We can put points on them,” Wallace said. “I think we can put points on anybody. We just got to show up and play and it’s the same thing every week: Let’s stay on schedule and control the tempo and don’t have any turnovers.”

It’s going to take a lot more than that, Bo. Despite its struggles against A&M, the Alabama defense is littered with first-round talents. Ole Miss isn’t exactly burning up the scoreboard, either, but Wallace didn’t seem to be care.

“We have better receivers than A&M,” Wallace said. “They want to talk about Mike Evans being so good; well, we have Donte (Moncrief) and I think Laquon (Treadwell) is going to be that way. I think we have better players on the outside than A&M does.”

Maybe Wallace backs up his talk and leads Ole Miss to an epic upset. However, I think it’s more likely that Wallace will see first hand just how good Alabama really is...and that not everyone can do what Johnny Football can do.
