A deep thigh bruise has Washington quarterback Jake Locker listed as questionable for this weekend’s game according to head coach Steve Sarkisian.
According to Locker, however, he “should be ready to go.”
Locker suffered the injury against Oregon on Oct. 24, and did not participate in any of the Huskies’ three practices during the bye week. While Locker returned to practice Saturday, Sarkisian is not quite ready to declare him a go.
“He was limited but he did practice, and he’s going to be day-to-day,” Sarkisian said. “We’re not going to force him back on the field if he’s not healthy and ready to go. I would anticipate that he would be. But he remains day-to-day. We’ll see how he can come back from a light workout last night and then come back today and assess it day in and day out as we move forward.”
Locker said there’s “still a good amount of bleeding and swelling” in the area, but remains hopeful he’ll be available as long as he continues to progress the way expects to throughout the week.
