Lou Holtz now has two fake degrees.
Holtz was given one Ph.D by ESPN for delivering cliche-driven life lessons to those who either don’t need them, or won’t use them.
Now, Holtz has been given another one by his former employer, Notre Dame.
Holtz, who will receive an honorary doctorate of laws, will be among 13 people to receive honorary degrees from the university. Dr. Lou, as he is so affectionately known now as an ESPN analyst, coached the Fighting Irish from 1986-96, winning a national championship during the 1988 season over West Virginia.
Like him or not, Holtz provided the last true, well, “golden” age for the Golden Domers.
