Seven months after being booted from the Nebraska football program, running back Quentin Castille has decided to give up on college ball and head to the NFL.
According to something called the Town Talk by way of the Lincoln Journal Star, Castille will make himself available for the NFL’s 2010 Supplemental Draft, leaving a year of eligibility on the table.
Castille had transferred to Northwestern State shortly after being dismissed by ‘Husker head coach Bo Pelini for unspecified violations of team rules. And, apparently, Castille had “issues” at his new school as well.
“I can’t really talk about the situation at Northwestern State,” Castille said. “I made the decision to leave. I think the best decision for me is to enter the draft.”
This past season, he averaged just over three yards on his 107 carries for the Div. 1-AA school.
