With the offseason in full gear, Gary Patterson became the latest head coach to make adjustments to his staff moving forward.
In one of two moves, Zarnell Fitch has been promoted to defensive line coach at TCU. Fitch had served as the Horned Frogs’ director of high school relations the last two years.
Finch won’t be a solo line coach, though, as Dan Sharp, who took over that group last year, will remain in the same position.
In addition to Fitch’s promotion, Patterson ha also promoted Jason Phillips to linebackers coach. Phillips had just completed his second year as a graduate assistant.
Both Phillips and Fitch played their college football for the Horned Frogs, the former from 2005-08 -- he was a four-time all-conference linebacker -- and the latter from 2004-05.
