John Harbaugh: ‘My brother has never eaten a booger’

It appears our long national nasal nightmare is over. Or Boogergate will continue on, one of the two.

Jim Harbaugh (imagine that) made news over the weekend when television cameras appeared to show the Michigan head coach digging into his nose and transferring the debris a few inches south. Harbaugh refueled the “controversy” by loudly proclaiming on his weekly radio show that he has “never eaten a booger in my entire life.”

“There was no booger eating,” Harbaugh added for emphasis. “Let me clear the air … for clarity here, for the record, I have never eaten a booger in my entire life.”

Wednesday, Harbaugh’s brother, Baltimore Ravens head coach
John Harbaugh, came to his sibling’s defense. From the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

“Can I say something for the record, since this is Cleveland?” John asked during his conference call with Cleveland media ahead of Sunday’s game against the Browns. “My brother has never eaten a booger.”

While John admitted that there was contact between his brother’s finger and nose, “nothing came out.”

So there you have it. You can pick which side of this raging debate you’re on, and see if anything meaningful can be pulled out.
