After initially entering a plea of not guilty to multiple charges stemming from a domestic dispute, Oregon running back LaMichael James is apparently set to make a plea agreement in the case.
According to KVAL-TV, the Pac-10’s Offensive Freshman of the Year is scheduled to appear in court Friday for a change of plea hearing and sentencing. There is no information available on the details of the plea agreement and what the sentence will entail.
Among the five charges James is facing are suspicion of strangulation, fourth-degree assault and menacing.
The alleged female victim -- she’s alleged to be the victim, not alleged to be a female -- told police James choked her outside of his apartment on Feb. 17 following an argument.
