Fresh off an impressive win over the old No. 1 team in the country, the Texas Longhorns are the new No. 1 team in the country.The Associated Press has released its poll, and 39 of the 65 media voters placed Texas in the top spot. The other 26 voters all picked Alabama. It’s no surprise that undefeated Penn State is third, but it is a bit of a surprise that the Nittany Lions didn’t get a single first-place vote.Rounding out the top five are Oklahoma and Florida.
