UGA to hire an old Friend to take over offensive line

Just a little over two weeks after losing their offensive line coach to Texas, it appears Georgia is poised to hire a replacement.

According to Gentry Estes of Dawgs247.com, Will Friend is expected to be named as the Bulldogs’ new line coach.

Friend has spent the past four seasons as the line coach at UAB. He will replace Stacy Searles, who left in mid-January for the same position with the Longhorns.

Friend, who played his college ball at Alabama, spent two years as a grad assistant (2003-04) at Georgia.
