Georgia running back Nick Chubb underwent surgery last October to repair a significant knee injury and it would appear he is starting to get his leg back in shape for the upcoming college football season. Still months away from the first kickoff of the season (Georgia opens the 2016 season in Atlanta against North Carolina on September 3), a video of Chubb running on a treadmill has provided Georgia fans with a reason to be optimistic about his recovery progress.

As previously reported, Chubb’s mother shared an update saying her son tore the PCL in his left knee and two other ligaments in the same joint in a game against Tennessee last October. At the time, it was unknown exactly what kind of timeline Chubb was working on for a return to football, but it would not be a surprise to see him limited in spring football practices, the first led by new head coach Kirby Smart.
Running at full speed on a treadmill is a major step in the right direction, with the next step being getting back on the practice field with his Georgia teammates.
