Your new betting favorite for the college football national championship is...

Oh, you thought the Big Ten was dead after two weeks? Las Vegas has something you should know. Michigan State is the new future odds favorite to win the College Football Playoff national championship game this season. The Spartans have been upgraded to 13/2 odds according to VegasInsider.com.

Last season’s BCS national champion, Florida State, is second on the board with 7/1 odds. The latest hot team, Mississippi State, also has 7/1 odds according to these particular numbers. Mississippi State just took over the top spot in the AP and coaches polls this week after winning against Auburn. Alabama has 8/1 odds and Oklahoma has 9/1 odds.

According to the VegasInsider.com numbers, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Ole Miss each have 10/1 betting odds to win the championship.

For the sake of comparison, Florida State remains the betting favorite to win the championship game on Bovada with 6/1 odds. Michigan State and Mississippi State each have 7/1 odds, followed by Alabama (8/1) and Ole Miss (9/1).
