Seahawks signed fifth-round WR Tory Horton to a four-year contract.
They also officially agreed to terms with seventh-round RB Damien Martinez and seventh-round WR Ricky White III. Horton and White will probably battle for a spot at the end of the roster behind Cooper Kupp, Jaxson Smith-Njigba and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar has predicted that Horton will wind up as the main return specialist for Seattle this year in a recent mailbag. White and Jake Bobo will probably be in a true dogfight for the final spot in the wideout room.

Seahawks selected UNLV WR Ricky White III with the No. 238 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
White (6’1/184) was initially recruited to Michigan State. He didn’t see the field much as a freshman but made an impact in the only game he caught more than one pass. White torched Michigan for 196 yards and a touchdown on eight catches. White was suspended by MSU before his sophomore season. He eventually sued the school and later transferred to UNLV after missing the entire 2021 season. White found his footing in 2022 with 619 yards and then exploded for 1,483 yards and eight scores in 2023. UNLV’s passing attack took a hit last year and White’s numbers fell. He posted a 79/1,041/11 line and topped a 45 percent college dominator for the second year in a row. White struggled at the combine with a 4.61 Forty and good but not great burst metrics. He left Indy with a dreadful 3.37 RAS. The poor athleticism may doom White to a life of special teams, but he would excel in that role. White had more blocked punts (four) in 2024 than any other entire school. He also took one of his four punt returns to the house.

UNLV received a verbal commitment from former Michigan State freshman WR Ricky White.
After catching 10 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown during his true freshman season, White (6'1/185) left the program before the season back in August. A three-star recruit from Georgia, White gets a new opportunity in Las Vegas with the Rebels and four years of eligibility remaining.

    Trenton Gillison
    MSU #88
Michigan State TE Trenton Gillison, RB Elijah Collins and WR Ricky White are among the players who are not available for Saturday’s game at Indiana.
While the Spartans will be down in numbers at the skill positions, Gillison (6'4/245), Collins and White have not been major contributors this season. The redshirt sophomore tight end has caught one pass for five yards, while Collins has rushed for 32 yards on three carries (and caught one pass for 20 yards). As for White, he has yet to accrue any statistics this season.

Michigan State freshman WR Ricky White and freshman DB Michael Gravely are currently away from the program, according to HC Mel Tucker.
Tucker declined to elaborate on the status of either White (6'1/185) or Gravely when asked, but both remain listed on the Spartans’ online roster. While the latter has yet to appear in a game for Michigan State, White caught ten passes for 223 yards and a touchdown in four games played last season. Eight of those ten receptions were for either a first down or a touchdown.

Michigan State freshman WR Ricky White (undisclosed) did not take part in Monday’s practice, according to the Detroit Free Press.
White (6'1"/185) has still yet to take part in a preseason practice, which is concerning given the fact that Michigan State’s opener is less than two weeks away. When asked about the freshman’s status earlier this month, HC Mel Tucker did not have an update. White appeared in four games for the Spartans, catching ten passes for 223 yards and one touchdown. As of Monday night, he was still listed on Michigan State’s online roster.

Michigan State freshman WR Ricky White (undisclosed) has still yet to participate in practice.
White (6'1/185) missed time during spring practice due to an undisclosed injury, and HC Mel Tucker had no update on the freshman’s status when asked on Wednesday. This isn’t great news for the Spartans, as White finished 2020 with a 10-223-1 receiving line (four games). For what it’s worth, the freshman is still listed on Michigan State’s online roster.

Michigan State freshman WR Ricky White (undisclosed) is missing Saturday’s spring practice, per Matt Charboneau of Detroit News.
White taking a step forward this offseason could go a long way for the Spartans. As a freshman last season, White (6'1/175) caught 10 passes and showed flashes of promise. Alas, White’s progress as a pass-catcher will be on hold for a bit, as he is not at practice as of now due to an undisclosed injury. White also missed time at the end of last year with an undisclosed injury, so it could be related. Hopefully White can get back to action sooner rather than later.

Michigan State freshman WR Ricky White has been ruled out for Saturday’s game at Penn State due to an undisclosed injury.
White (6'1/175) was injured during the Spartans’ loss to Indiana on November 14, and he hasn’t appeared in a game since. The freshman wideout has accounted for ten receptions, 223 yards and one touchdown in four games this season. Jalen Nailor and Jayden Reed have been the Spartans’ leaders on the outside, and they’ll be asked to do even more on Saturday.

Michigan State freshman WR Ricky White caught eight passes for 196 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 27-24 win at Michigan.
After catching just one pass for five yards in Michigan State’s season-opening loss to Rutgers, White (6'1/175) flourished against the Michigan secondary. With a long of 50 yards the freshman averaged 24.5 yards per reception on the day, and his 30-yard touchdown catch in the fist quarter opened the scoring. With Jalen Nailor, who caught two passes for 68 yards, due to be the focus of many secondary units that should open things up for White on the opposite side. He took full advantage of his opportunities on Saturday. Next up for Michigan State is a road game at Iowa.
