Lions agreed to terms with No. 171 overall pick WR Corey Fuller on a four-year, $2.283 million contract.
Sixth-round picks are typically 50-50 to make the team, but the Lions’ website considers Fuller a “strong candidate” for a roster spot. Fuller was a one-year wonder at Virginia Tech, but boasts 4.43 speed to go along with his 6-foot-2, 204-pound frame. With the Lions absolutely desperate for a downfield burner to pair opposite Calvin Johnson, they’ll look for reasons to keep Fuller, instead of vice versa. Still, he’s not a realistic threat for 2013 fantasy value, and is little more than a flier in Dynasty leagues.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Lions selected Virginia Tech WR Corey Fuller with the No. 171 overall pick.
Fuller (6-foot-2 1/4, 204) busted out as a senior vertical field stretcher, hauling in 43 passes for 815 yards (19.0 YPC) and six touchdowns, catching balls from Logan Thomas. An explosive downfield receiver, Fuller clocked a 4.43 at the Combine with a blistering 1.49 ten-yard split. He could contend for the outside receiver spot opposite Calvin Johnson in Detroit.

The Lions’ website considers sixth-round pick WR Corey Fuller a strong candidate for a roster spot.
Fuller (6-2, 204) was a one-year wonder at Virginia Tech, but has 4.43 speed and the potential to be an explosive downfield receiver. With Ryan Broyles (ACL surgery) injured and Nate Burleson the favorite for the Lions’ No. 2 job, Fuller could be an option for the Titus Young role in Detroit’s offense. He shouldn’t have any trouble beating out Patrick Edwards and Kris Durham.

Lions waived WR Corey Fuller, LB Jon Morgan, and OL Darren Keyton.
They’re all practice squad eligible. Fuller will be a priority for Detroit to stash after GM Martin Mayhew drafted him in the sixth round this April.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Lions GM Martin Mayhew said second-year WR Corey Fuller needs “to get stronger in the weight room.”
A sixth-round pick in 2013, Fuller is listed as 6'2/204. The speedy developmental prospect spent his entire rookie season on the practice squad even though the Lions were absolutely desperate for wideout help in the wake of injuries to Nate Burleson and Ryan Broyles. Mayhew is expected to add at least two receivers via the draft and free agency, so we wouldn’t expect a second-year breakout from Fuller.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Lions placed WR Corey Fuller (foot) on the active/PUP list.
Fuller has been shut down since June surgery. He isn’t a lock to return in camp. Even when healthy, Fuller is on the outside looking in for a roster spot.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Lions WR Corey Fuller (foot) will open 2016 on the reserve/PUP list.
It will cost him at least the first six regular season games. Fuller broke his foot at OTAs. He has 18 catches for 288 yards through three NFL seasons.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Lions WR Corey Fuller had surgery to correct a foot injury on Wednesday.
A timetable for his return has not been established. Already on the roster bubble before this injury, Fuller would be in serious trouble if he is not ready for training camp.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Lions activated WR Corey Fuller (foot) from the reserve/PUP list.
TE Khari Lee was waived in a corresponding roster move. A fourth-year sixth-rounder, Fuller has 18 career grabs. He’ll try to carve out a role on special teams.

Saints declared WR Corey Fuller, C Jack Allen, LB Travis Feeney, WR Jake Lampman, RB Daniel Lasco, RB Marcus Murphy, and S Robenson Therezie inactive for Week 17 against the Falcons.
New Orleans heads into the finale pretty healthy.
