    Packers released RB Corey Grant.
The big-play threat suffered a Lisfranc injury last offseason then had trouble generating interest on the open market. Going on 28, getting cut loose at this stage of training camp is a poor sign for Grant’s NFL future.

    Packers signed RB Corey Grant.
Grant, 27, suffered a Lisfranc injury in Week 5 with the Jaguars last season and missed the rest of the year. In 2016-2017, Grant registered 62 carries in a very limited role and turned them into 412 yards (6.65 YPC) and three touchdowns. He’s also flashed in the receiving game and been a mainstay on special teams in his career. Grant has a real shot to make the roster.

Jaguars placed RB Corey Grant (foot) on injured reserve.
Grant suffered a Lisfranc injury against the Chiefs in Week 5 and is done for the season. He should be healthy once free agency opens next spring.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Corey Grant suffered a Lisfranc injury Week 5 against the Chiefs and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
Grant had to be carted off the field Sunday. He was hyped up over the summer as someone the Jaguars wanted to get more involved in the offense, but it never really happened as Grant got 13 carries and turned them into 40 scoreless yards. Grant nabbed nine catches for 67 yards. He’ll be a 27-year-old free agent next March coming off one of the most serious foot injuries.

Corey Grant exited Week 5 against the Chiefs with a foot injury.
Grant had his lower leg caught underneath a tackler at the end of a second-quarter run. He was not able to put weight on his left leg as he was helped off the field, and he was pretty quickly ruled out. With Leonard Fournette inactive, T.J. Yeldon should get as much work as he can handle against the Chiefs. Brandon Wilds is Jacksonville’s other active running back.

Corey Grant rushed six times for 11 yards and caught 1-of-2 targets for a combined loss of one yard in the Jaguars’ Week 3 loss to Tennessee.
Grant started the game in place of Leonard Fournette (hamstring), but the Jags wound up going with T.J. Yeldon because Grant was so ineffective. Grant was barely even seen in the second half, while Yeldon finished with 13 touches to Grant’s 7. All in all, it was an abysmal offensive effort from a Jaguars team that played so well versus New England the week prior. Fournette was close to playing and figures to return in Week 4 against the Jets.

Corey Grant caught 6-of-7 targets for 56 yards in the Jaguars’ Week 2 win over the Patriots, adding four rushes for 13 additional yards.
Grant ended up forming a near-even committee with T.J. Yeldon in Leonard Fournette’s absence. The Jags worked hard to exploit Grant’s play-making ability as a pass catcher. He was a spark plug who picked up a number of key first downs. Despite his big-play ability, Grant will be a low-end RB3/FLEX if Fournette remains sidelined for Week 3 against the Titans.

Jaguars RB Corey Grant rushed 18 times for 122 yards and a touchdown in Jacksonville’s Week 17 loss to the Colts.
This is our first blurb on Grant since October 2015. Denard Robinson was supposed to get the start, but the Jags wisely went with second-year UDFA Grant. Grant was cannon-propelled on his 57-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, a scamper that alone would have doubled his career yardage total. Already 25, Grant is a straight-line speedster probably ill-suited to an early-down role, but perhaps he’ll be a part of Jacksonville’s 2017 committee.

Corey Grant rushed 10 times for 58 yards and caught one pass for -2 yards in the Jaguars’ third preseason game.
Grant’s rushing statistics are slightly deceiving as his 51-yard rush came on a fake punt. Grant has put himself in a good position to make the roster, consistently creating explosive plays. Unfortunately, he is currently No. 4 on the depth chart behind Leonard Fournette, Chris Ivory, and T.J. Yeldon.

Jaguars RB Corey Grant rushed eight times for 120 yards and a touchdown in the team’s preseason opener.
His highlight was a 79-yard touchdown run where Grant made an explosive cutback before outrunning the Patriots’ defense to the house. A 4.28 speedster who went undrafted out of Auburn in 2015, Grant also put on a show with an 18/122/1 rushing line last Week 17. Even in a crowded Jaguars backfield, Grant has put himself in position to claim a roster spot as a COP back and kick returner.
