    49ers released DE Damontre Moore.
Moore balled out in the AAF and even racked up a preseason-best 17 pressures, but he’s officially a free agent. The 2013 third-round pick has been on six different NFL teams since 2015.

    Raiders waived DE Damontre Moore.
He lasted only two months on Oakland’s roster. Getting cut at this stage is a bad sign for his future, but his pass-rush ability should get him a look on waivers. The Raiders added Tramain Jacobs and LB Lenny Jones in corresponding moves.

49ers signed Damontre Moore, formerly of the AAF’s San Diego Fleet, to a one-year contract.
Moore had unsuccessful stints with the Giants, Dolphins, Seahawks, Cowboys and Raiders out of Texas A&M before becoming a weekly nightmare for opposing quarterbacks with the Fleet this past season. He eventually finished with league-high marks in sacks (8) and hits (17) on the year, doubling-up the next closest defender in both categories. He has the greatest chance of sticking on an active roster amongst all previous AAF defensive players.

Raiders signed DE Damontre Moore, formerly of the Dolphins.
Although Moore has flamed out with the Fins and Giants, he flashed useful pass-rush ability as a rotational player early in his career, and is not yet 24 years old. He’s a worthwhile flyer for the suddenly talent-collecting Raiders.

    Raiders signed DE Damontre Moore.
It’s been a long time since we have heard the former third-rounder’s name. The odds he sticks in Oakland beyond this season are slim.

    49ers released DE Damontre Moore.
Briefly given a second chance after a successful stint in the AAF, Moore lasted just 40 days on the 49ers’ 90-man roster, getting cut before the real offseason work had even begun. Moore turns 27 in September.

Giants signed No. 81 pick DE Damontre Moore to a four-year contract.
Although Moore needs work in an NFL weight room, he was a legitimately great college football player, posting eight of his 12.5 sacks against SEC competition last season. As a rookie, he’ll be developed as the No. 4 end behind Justin Tuck, Jason Pierre-Paul, and Mathias Kiwanuka. Moore is nearly 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds with long arms. He’s a likely nickel rusher at worst by 2014.

The Giants are grooming third-round pick Damontre Moore to be a hybrid stand-up outside linebacker and down defensive end.
Moore played both 3-4 rush ‘backer and 4-3 end at Texas A&M as the Aggies switched schemes during his career. The Giants’ current hybrid SLB/DE is Mathias Kiwanuka, though he’s moving to end this season. At one point a projected first-round pick, Moore’s stock fell due to questionable work ethic.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Texas A&M DE Damontre Moore’s poor Combine “validated whispers” among NFL scouts who were all along unimpressed by his athleticism.
Moore’s stock is in a bit of a free fall after he managed a slow 4.95 forty-yard dash at 250 pounds, and hoisted just 12 reps on the bench. Moore ranked 22nd-of-37 defensive linemen in the forty, outrunning only DLs who weigh at least 30 pounds more than him. Once viewed as a possible top-five selection, Moore is really more of a late first-round and possible second-round pick.

Texas A&M DE Damontre Moore managed a forty time of 4.95 at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Moore did better in the broad jump (10-foot-2) and vertical leap (35 1/2 inches), but the forty time is slow for an undersized, 250-pound defensive end. Moore did not help his stock in Indianapolis, failing to quash concerns about his explosive ability or lack thereof. He projects as a middle to late first-rounder.
