Raiders signed K Dave Rayner, formely of the Cowboys.
You can officially rule out Sebastian Janikowski (hamstring) for Week 7. The Raiders are on bye in Week 8, so it’s possible Rayner’s stint with the team will last all of one week. You should be able to find a better Janikowski fill-in on the waiver wire.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
The Bills worked out free agent kickers Dave Rayner, Rhys Lloyd, Shayne Graham and Brandon Coutu.
With Rian Lindell (shoulder) out indefinitely, the Bills are holding an open tryout. ESPN’s Adam Schefter pegs Rayner as the heavy favorite.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
    Raiders waived K Dave Rayner.
Rayner booted just one kickoff in the shutout against the Chiefs last week. Sebastian Janikowski (hamstring) is back on the field for Tuesday’s bye-week practice, a sign that he will be good to go for Week 9.
  • FA Kicker (FG) #11
Raiders declared Sebastian Janikowski (hamstring) inactive for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
Dave Rayner will serve as the Raiders’ placekicker today and is a desperation option for SeaBass owners. The rest of the Raiders’ inactives: QB Jason Campbell, FB Marcel Reece, WR Chaz Schilens, G Bruce Campbell, CB Chimdi Chekwa and CB Chris Johnson. No word as of yet on if Carson Palmer or Kyle Boller is starting. Palmer is active.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
After cutting K Billy Cundiff on Thursday, Dave Rayner is the lone kicker on the Packers roster.
If Rayner doesn’t perform well enough in the preseason, Green Bay is expected to sign a veteran such as Cundiff or possibly Paul Edinger. While he’s likely to keep the job, Rayner isn’t worth a fantasy roster spot.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
In addition to free agent kickers Nick Novak and Jeff Reed, the Chargers are also working out Dave Rayner on Tuesday.
Reed has been the most accurate of the three, but he’s a liability on kickoffs. Rayner has a big leg and went 13-for-16 on field goals with the Lions late last season.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Free agent K Dave Rayner is visiting the Steelers on Wednesday.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter suggests a signing could be in the works. Rayner, who converted just 10-of-15 (67 percent) field goals in seven games with the Bills last year, would then challenge incumbent Shaun Suisham in training camp.
  • FA Kicker (FG) #4
Bills K Rian Lindell (shoulder) is expected to be held out for one more week.
Lindell is well enough to kick, but there’s still concern that he could aggravate the injury by attempting to make a tackle on kickoffs. Dave Rayner will handle field-goal duties against the Titans.
  • FA Kicker (FG) #4
Bills K Rian Lindell (shoulder) is not expected to be cleared to return this week.
The training staff still has concerns over Lindell’s ability to safely make tackles on kickoffs. Dave Rayner will continue to fill in.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
    Bills signed K Dave Rayner.
Rayner is filling in for Rian Lindell (shoulder), who is out indefinitely. Rayner has kicked well in spot chances over the last few years, but fantasy owners can find safer options. Lindell received more than two field goal attempts just once in eight games this season.
