Steelers WR Derek Moye caught a one-yard touchdown in Monday night’s Week 2 loss to the Bengals.
Moye played just the one snap. He was put in the game to run a fade to the corner and catch a jump ball for the score in the second quarter. It was the first catch of the 6-foot-4, 209-pound former Nittany Lion’s career.

Steelers WRs Markus Wheaton, Justin Brown and Derek Moye traveled to Irvine, California last week to work out with and catch passes from Ben Roethlisberger.
Big Ben requested the three young receivers to travel to the West Coast so that he could get a better feel for them. “It was really about (Roethlisberger) getting a feel for some of us a little bit more,” Moye said. “We ran some different routes that he wanted to work with us individually on.” Wheaton could see his snaps increase dramatically if the Steelers fail to re-sign one or both of Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery, who are free agents.

Steelers declared WR Derek Moye, QB Landry Jones, NT Steve McLendon, LB LaMarr Woodley, TE Richard Gordon, CB Demarcus Van Dyke, LB Stevenson Sylvester inactive for Thanksgiving against the Ravens.
Brett Keisel returns for Week 13. Woodley is still injured, robbing the Steelers’ of easily their best pass rusher. McLendon’s loss due to a multi-week ankle injury affects Pittsburgh’s run defense at nose tackle.

Derek Moye caught one pass for 19 yards in Sunday’s Week 7 win over the Ravens.
Moye nearly cost the Steelers the game when he dropped a perfectly thrown ball from Ben Roethlisberger in the corner of the end zone. Luckily for him, Ben led the team back down the field for a game-winning field goal as time expired. Moye, a lanky former undrafted free agent out of Penn State, now has two catches for 20 yards on the season.
