Browns promoted WR Derrick Willies from the practice squad.
With Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge placed on the COVID-19 list, Willies and fellow practice squadder Ja’Marcus Bradley will vie for snaps behind default No. 1 wideout Marvin Hall. We would not expect either Willies or Bradley to draw enough looks to offer desperation WR5 appeal. The Browns will go all in on the run while targeting running backs and tight ends.

Browns placed WR Derrick Willies (shoulder) on injured reserve.
The team signed WR Breshad Perriman Saturday morning and were forced to make a corresponding move. With Willies out the picture and Rishard Higgins additionally out for Sunday, Cleveland will enter their matchup against the Chargers with Jarvis Landry, Rod Streater, Antonio Callaway, and Perriman as the primary receivers.

Browns WR Derrick Willies (shoulder) is out for Week 6 against the Chargers.
Willies fractured his collarbone in Friday’s practice. He’s likely headed to injured reserve. The Browns are also down Rashard Higgins this week, locking Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway into a heavy target share.

Browns WR Derrick Willies (shoulder) is questionable for Week 6 against the Chargers.
Willies was a late addition to the injury report after landing awkwardly on the shoulder on Friday. An UDFA rookie out of Texas Tech, Willies was thrust into duty last week after Rashard Higgins left with a sprained MCL. He played 26 snaps, catching 3-of-5 targets for 61 yards. If Willies has to sit with Higgins already out, the Browns will be down to Rod Streater as their third wideout.
