The Kings have waived Eric Mika.
Sacramento needed to free up a roster spot in order to complete the deal that sent Dewayne Dedmon. Mika’s release comes one day before his 10-day contract was scheduled to end.

Eric Mika accounted for six points (2-of-3 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) and seven rebounds in 19 minutes Saturday vs. the Lakers.
Mika made his NBA debut just hours after signing a 10-day contract, as the Kings are without Dewayne Dedmon (illness), Richaun Holmes (right shoulder) and Marvin Bagley (left foot). Mika doesn’t offer much in the way of fantasy value, but with the Kings not having anywhere else to turn beyond Nemanja Bjelica and Harry Giles he’s going to play.

The Kings are signing Eric Mika to a 10-day deal.
The 6'10" big man basically serves as Dewayne Dedmon insurance not only for tonight with Dedmon ill, but also if the Kings can deal Dedmon at the deadline. Mika played in 13 games in the G League with the Stockton Kings, averaging 19.8 points, 14.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 blocks and 32.5 minutes per contest during the 2019-20 season. It’s not crazy to think he gets minutes tonight if Dedmon can’t go.
