Kyle Tucker (back) remains out of the lineup for the second straight game on Wednesday against the Twins.

No surprise here after Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters earlier this week that Tucker was likely to miss the rest of their series against Minnesota due to lower back spasms. It’ll be local product Alex Call getting another turn in right field on Wednesday evening at Target Field. The 29-year-old fantasy standout could use the extra rest to get back on track physically and work on making adjustments with his swing. He’s hit just .196 (21-for-107) with just two homers and three steals over his last 30 games. It doesn’t sound like Tucker will require a trip to the injured list and he could be ready to return for Friday’s series opener against the division-rival Padres.

Kyle Tucker followed up his four-walk game Wednesday by going 4-for-4 with one walk and three runs scored Thursday against the Padres.

All of Tucker’s hits came on liners to the outfield, two hard and two soft. He’s up to .249 with a .352 OBP, both of which are his highest marks since May 24. He’ll enter Friday’s game having reached in nine straight plate appearances.

Kyle Tucker walked all four times up against the A’s in Wednesday’s loss.

It’s the 11th four-walk game for a player this year, but Tucker joins Endy Rodríguez as the only players to walk in all four of their plate appearances. He’s 6-for-17 with a homer and six walks in his last five games.

Kyle Tucker went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and four RBI in the Dodgers’ 15-3 rout of the Padres on Saturday.

This one went so well for the Dodgers that Miguel Rojas closed out the game. Tucker’s homer off Randy Vásquez was his seventh of the year. He’s looked far more like a $6 million-per-year player than a $60 million-per-year player this season, but there’s still hope.

Kyle Tucker was lifted for a pinch-hitter after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout versus the Padres on Friday.

Ouch. That the Dodgers thought it was worth hitting Miguel Rojas for Tucker in the ninth tonight might be the most discouraging moment for the $60 million man in a thoroughly discouraging season to date. Tucker struck out and hit 95- and 90-mph flyouts in his three at-bats tonight after missing the last two games with back spasms. He and Rojas both have .700 OPSs to date, but Rojas intends to retire at season’s end and Tucker will make $55 million next year with $120 million in player options for 2028 and ’29.

Tucker missed two games due to back spasms. He’s batting sixth against Walker Buehler and the Padres tonight.

Alex Call went 2-for-4 with his first homer, two walks and three runs scored Tuesday against the Twins.

Call’s first homer in 120 plate appearances this season came off Taylor Rogers with the Dodgers up 7-2 in the ninth tonight. He’s batting a solid .270/.383/.350 while mostly starting versus lefties, but Statcast thinks he’s been quite lucky. He’ll likely lose a fair amount of playing time after Teoscar Hernández comes off the IL.

Tucker receives some extra time off to rest and recover after making an early exit from Monday’s series opener in Minnesota with lower back spasms. He told reporters that he’s pretty confident he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list, which is mildly encouraging at least. The 29-year-old fantasy stalwart has scuffling at the dish recently, hitting .196 (21-for-107) with just two homers and three steals over his last 30 games. It’s possible a brief reset could help him regain his timing and get back on track at the plate. It’ll be Alex Call taking over in right field on Tuesday night in his place.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts downplayed concern while speaking to reporters following Tucker’s early exit from Monday’s series opener with lower back spasms. The 29-year-old corner outfielder could wind up requiring some additional time off, but it doesn’t appear that he’s in jeopardy of heading to the injured list at this time. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status for the rest of the series in Minnesota.

Tucker walked and advanced to second base on Tommy Edman’s single before being lifted for a pinch-runner in the second inning. It doesn’t appear to be a significant concern, but the Dodgers obviously weren’t going to take any chances with his health. The 29-year-old has been scuffling at the plate in recent weeks, hitting .212 (14-for-66) with two homers and two steals since the start of June. There should be an update on his status following the contest.

Lugo made his own trouble in the first, when he committed the first of the Royals’ three errors on a three-run infield debacle. After that, though, it was mostly just him getting hit hard. A.J. Ewing hit a two-run homer in the second, and Juan Soto delivered a three-run blast in the fourth. It’s the third time this year that Lugo has given up at least seven runs. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewer in 10 of 18 turns, but the blowups have left him with a 4.56 ERA. He’ll face the Orioles on Sunday.

Senga left with the Mets up 9-4, which put him in line for a rather undeserved victory, but then the Royals scored 12 runs off Austin Warren and Matt Seelinger between the fifth and seventh innings. That might have made Senga look better in comparison, but four walks while generating just six whiffs isn’t a good combination. He’ll be available to pitch Sunday against the Red Sox, but it remains to see what kind of form that will take. The Mets would probably go with a bullpen game if they get length from Freddy Peralta on Saturday.

This gives Thomas five doubles and a homer in his last five games, a span that’s raised his OPS from .653 to .720. Despite his usual struggles against right-handers, the Royals have been mostly forced to treat him as a regular with Kyle Isbel and Vinnie Pasquantino out, and he hasn’t fared too badly. However, with just four steals in seven tries, his fantasy upside isn’t what it used to be.

What more can a guy do? It’s his first four-hit, four-run scored or three-RBI game as a major leaguer, and it was enough to take his OPS from .742 to .790. Ewing will probably do a lot of sitting against lefties after Luis Robert Jr. returns, but he deserves to stay in the lineup against righties, and the Mets outfield defense would be pretty formidable with him playing alongside Robert and Carson Benge on days that Juan Soto serves as a DH.

Benge’s first hit, which opened the scoring in the first, was the most Little League of Little League home runs. Seth Lugo handled the grounder to the right of the mound but then threw wildly past first, after which first baseman Jac Caglianone threw wildly past third and third baseman Nick Loftin threw wildly past home, allowing two baserunners and Benge to all score. They should have just ended the game right then, but the Royals shook off probably the most embarrassing sequence of the 2026 season and ended up winning 16-12.
