JJ Wetherholt strikes out four times in loss

Johnson gave up one hit, walked two and struck out three. He improved to 3-7 with the win. While the results were excellent, there’s not much in Johnson’s profile that suggests they’re repeatable. Johnson lowered his ERA to 5.75 and still has a 5.38 xFIP. He’s not lined up for another start at the moment.

Muncy had an outstanding day at the plate, starting with a walk in the second. He then doubled to lead off the fourth and crossed home on a single. Lee’s home run was his seventh of the year. He hit a solo shot off Michael Wacha in the fifth inning. Lee is 9-for-22 (.409) with a home run, seven runs scored and four RBI over his last 10 games. The Tigers crowded infield limits Lee’s at-bats, leaving him as merely an option in AL-Only leagues.

Jones held the Dodgers scoreless through three innings before things got away from him a bit in the fourth. Los Angeles brought a pair of runs in on three hits and a walk. Jones would get out of the inning with the bases loaded. His day would be done after four frames at 87 pitches. He struck out five. The 25-year-old right-hander will take a 4.76 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 77/26 K/BB ratio across 68 innings into a start against the Cardinals in St. Louis on Friday.

Bachar pitched three innings in a start last Sunday and then a scoreless inning in relief on Friday. Mlodzinski has pitched a total of 8 1/3 innings and given up 13 earned runs in three starts since moving back into Pittsburgh’s rotation. He might be trending back towards middle relief if Bachar pitches well Sunday.

Perez’ home run was his 17th of the season. He hit a solo shot off Drew Anderson in the fourth inning. Perez’ home run was his first since August 1 against the Rockies, a span of 16 games. He’s hitting .220 with a .638 OPS and 57 RBI.

Arozarena led off the game with a solo homer off David Peterson. He then helped Seattle starter Kade Anderson with a spectacular home run robbery in the third inning before drawing a walk. With a runner on, down by one, and two outs in the ninth inning, he bookended the game with another homer, delivering the walk-off blast off Jacob Webb. The 31-year-old outfielder is up to 19 homers, 83 runs scored, and 20 steals while slashing .275/.369/.463 across 526 plate appearances.
