Kevin McGonigle went 2-for-4 with a double, walk and an RBI as the Tigers fell to the Royals on Friday evening in Kansas City.
McGonigle smacked a two-out RBI double off of John Schrieber in the seventh inning that briefly pulled the Tigers to within a run at 3-2, but that would be as close as they would get. With his two-hit attack, the 22-year-old phenom is now slashing .284/.386/.424 with 13 homers, 53 RBI and 12 stolen bases over 559 plate appearances in his rookie campaign.
