Giants activated 3B Matt Chapman off the 10-day injured list.
Chapman is back after missing just under a month with a right hand injury, and will resume his hot corner duties. The 32-year-old takes the roster spot of Sergio Alcantara, with Alcantara booted off the roster to make room.

Riley Greene went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Mariners on Sunday.
Greene’s home run was No. 24 on the year for him. The 24-year-old outfielder hit a go-ahead solo shot off Gabe Speier in the seventh inning. Greene played the hero for just a moment as the Tigers’ bullpen was unable to hold the league. He’s enjoying a breakout season with a .284 average, .879 OPS and 78 RBI heading into the All-Star break.
Players to watch in MLB All-Star Futures Game
James Schiano spotlights the rising stars to watch in this weekend's 2025 All-Star Futures Game in Atlanta.
  • SEA 2nd Baseman #7
Jorge Polanco went 1-for-1 with a solo home run against the Tigers on Sunday.
Polanco’s home run was No. 15 on the year for him. The 32-year-old infielder came off the bench in the ninth inning and belted a solo shot off Tigers reliever Tommy Kahnle. The clutch home run put the Mariners up 5-4 in a game they would eventually win 8-4. Polanco is hitting .256 with a .786 OPS and 44 RBI on the year.
  • SEA Center Fielder #44
Julio Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, two walks, a double, a home run, a stolen base and two RBI against the Tigers on Sunday.
Rodriguez’ home run was No. 14 on the year for him. The 24-year-old outfielder crushed a solo shot off Jack Flaherty in the third inning. Rodriguez would go on to have a huge game with multiple extra-base hits, three runs scored and a stolen base. He heads into the All-Star break with a .252 average, .750 OPS and 50 RBI.
  • Reds manager Terry Francona earned his 2,000th career win with a 4-2 win over the Rockies on Sunday.
Francona is just the 13th manager in MLB history to earn 2,000 wins as a manager. He has the Reds over .500 and within three games of a playoff spot in his first season with the team. Congrats to Tito on the milestone.
  • DET Relief Pitcher #19
Will Vest allowed one run in one inning and was charged with a blown save against the Mariners on Sunday.
Vest entered the game with a one-run lead in the eighth inning. The 30-year-old right-hander ran into trouble right away by issuing back-to-back walks before a game-tying double. Vest then walked the next batter before escaping the bases-loaded, no out situation with a fly ball and a double play. He’ll continue to receive the bulk of the save opportunities for the Tigers unless the team trades for a more established closer prior to the trade deadline.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #9
Jack Flaherty allowed two runs in five innings and got a no-decision against the Mariners on Sunday.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #36
Logan Gilbert allowed two runs (none earned) in 5 1/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Mariners’ 8-4 victory over the Tigers on Sunday.
  • CIN Relief Pitcher #15
Emilio Pagán threw a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 4-2 win over the Rockies on Sunday.
Pagán struck out one and didn’t walk a batter as he earned his 20th save of the season. The 34-year-old has a solid 2.93 ERA on the season, but you have to wonder if the Reds would look for a more reliable closer option at the trade deadline if they’re hoping to make a push for the postseason.
  • CIN Center Fielder #29
TJ Friedl went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run, and three runs scored in a win over the Rockies on Sunday.
Friedl laced a 101.4 mph shot off of Austin Gomber 385 feet for his ninth home run of the season. The 29-year-old has proven himself to be a useful fantasy asset as the Reds’ lead-off hitter whenever he’s healthy, and his .276/.368/.406 slash line this season is continuing that.
  • COL Center Fielder #22
Mickey Moniak went 1-for-3 with two RBI in a loss to the Reds on Sunday.
It’s fitting that the former first overall pick gets the only two RBI for the Rockies on MLB Draft night. Moniak has settled into a regular role with the Rockies and is now 26-for-77 (.338) since June 1st with eight home runs, 18 RBI, and four steals. He’ll be better in games at home, but he’s probably good enough to be rostered in most league types.
