Colson Montgomery tripled and went 3-for-5 to help the White Sox to a 10-3 rout of the Rockies on Saturday.
Montgomery went hitless in his MLB debut Friday, but his first hit in the majors was a triple, and he added a pair of singles for a three-knock night. Montgomery was once considered one of the upper-echelon prospects in baseball, but hasn’t played up to that level in a while. Considering he’s only 23, there’s time for him to find that form, but fantasy managers should remain skeptical for now.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Enrique Hernández is still experiencing pain in his left elbow.
Roberts said that Hernández is in a “holding pattern” until he feels pain-free. The hope was that the 33-year-old would return shortly after the break, but it’s now possible that Hernández won’t be back with the Dodgers until the end of July at the earliest.
Alvarez looking 'more like himself' in Triple-A
Francisco Alvarez has found his bat in Triple-A after a "shocking," yet deserved demotion, and James Schiano details how the Mets catcher is looking "more like himself" after significant regression.
  • PHI Left Fielder #12
Kyle Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a grand slam, two runs scored, and a walk to power the Phillies to a 9-5 win over the Angels on Saturday.
Schwarber doubled in the first inning, then put the Phillies on top with a grand slam off José Fermin in the sixth. He then drew a walk in the eighth and scored on a homer by Bryce Harper. It was the 32nd homer of the season for the 32-year-old slugger. He’s slashing .251/.382/.563 with 70 runs scored and 74 RBI across 435 plate appearances.
  • PHI 1st Baseman #3
Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, two runs scored, and a walk against the Angels on Saturday.
Harper reached on a fielder’s choice in the first inning and scored on a base hit. He added a double in the third and drew a walk in the sixth before extending the Phillies lead in the eighth with a two-run blast off Carson Fulmer. The 32-year-old first baseman is up to 13 homers while hitting .272/.383/.498 with 42 runs scored, 41 RBI, and nine steals across 311 plate appearances.
  • LAA Right Fielder #3
Taylor Ward went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI against the Phillies on Saturday.
Ward put the Angels on the board with a solo homer off Taijuan Walker in the fourth inning. He later drove in a second run with a double in the seventh. Ward has come out of the break hot, homering in back-to-back games. The 31-year-old outfielder is up to 23 homers and 69 RBI while slashing .228/.300/.485 across 416 plate appearances.
  • LAA 3rd Baseman #5
Yoan Moncada went 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs scored, and a walk against the Phillies on Saturday.
Moncada drew a walk in the second inning, then knocked a base hit in the fourth before scoring on a base hit by Zach Neto. He later slugged a solo homer off Seth Johnson to lead off the sixth, his eighth of the season. Jorge Soler would pinch-hit for Moncada in the eighth with a left-hander on the mound.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #99
Taijuan Walker allowed three runs with four strikeouts over four innings in a no-decision against the Angels on Saturday.
Walker got through three scoreless innings with the held of a pair of ground ball double plays. He then surrendered back-to-back homers to Taylor Ward and Jo Adell to start the fourth inning. Four more base hits would bring a third run in to score before Walker could get out of the inning. His day would be over after the fourth at 70 pitches with four strikeouts. The 32-year-old right-hander will take a 3.75 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and a 53/25 K/BB ratio across 61 1/3 innings into a matchup against the Yankees in New York on Friday.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #16
Yusei Kikuchi allowed two runs with eight strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Phillies on Saturday.
Kikuchi started the first inning with a walk and a double but was able to get out of the frame with just one run allowed. After three scoreless frames, he gave up a second run on a walk and a base hit in the fifth before ending his day at 91 pitches and eight strikeouts. The 34-year-old left-hander will take a 3.13 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and a 123/52 K/BB ratio across 118 innings into a start against the Mariners in Anaheim on Thursday.
  • CIN Right Fielder #27
Jake Fraley finished 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in the Reds’ 5-2 takedown of the Mets on Saturday.
Fraley was in the lineup for the first time since coming off the injured list a week ago. That he sat against back-to-back lefties was expected, but he also took a seat in favor of Will Benson in the Reds’ previous game against a right-hander. Today, he got the nod over Benson versus Clay Holmes. That could be a day-by-day decision for the Reds, though putting the slumping Gavin Lux on the bench is also an option.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #28
Nick Martinez worked five innings and gave up two runs Saturday in a victory over the Mets.
Martinez allowed just two hard-hit balls today, though one was a homer and he still gave up six hits anyway. It was a solid showing, though, as he works to undo the damage of the 10-run calamity against the Marlins that took place 11 days ago. He’s 8-9 with a 4.73 ERA, and he’ll take on the Rays next week.
  • CIN Relief Pitcher #15
Emilio Pagán hurled a scoreless ninth against the Mets for his 21st save Saturday.
Although it was a three-run game, it was a rather stressful inning for Pagán, who gave up a single to Luis Torrens and walked Brandon Nimmo before retiring Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto and Pete Alonso. He threw 26 pitches today on top of 12 yesterday, so he’ll probably rest Sunday. Tony Santillan might get a save chance then.
