José Fermín started the ninth with a homer that made it a one-run game. After that came a walk to Victor Scott II, a two-out walk to Alex Burleson and a game-tying single from Jordan Walker. It’s Santillan’s third blown save, and it bodes particularly poorly for him that both Graham Ashcraft (1 2/3 scoreless) and Pierce Johnson (scoreless 10th and 11th innings and a win) did very well tonight. It may be some time before Santillan gets another save chance.

Serven, who is backing up Jonah Heim with Shea Langeliers out for the season, has racked up a surprising four homers and 11 RBI in 15 games for the A’s. He had six homers and 20 RBI in 101 career games previously, with all of the homers coming at Coors Field during his time with the Rockies in 2022.

Perkins took over down 3-0 after Brady Basso struggled in the first, but he ended up leaving with the A’s on top 7-6. He struck out six and walked five, though two of those were intentional passes to Yordan Alvarez. The win is his first since Apr. 18, when he got one in relief for finishing off an 11-inning game. He’d been 0-9 since. He’ll likely face the Orioles on Saturday, probably again as a bulk guy.

Harris fanned Jose Altuve and Christian Walker in the one-run game. He has four saves, two blown saves that turned into losses and one hold in his nine appearances this month.

Javier struck out eight over four scoreless innings before giving up a single, a walk and a three-run homer to start the fifth, bringing a sudden end to had what started out as a promising performance. Javier has allowed 12 earned runs over 19 innings in four starts since moving into the rotation at the beginning of the month. All of those games turned into losses for the Astros. He might head back to the pen now with Mike Burrows due to return.

White seems to be settling in now. He hit the first two homers of his career last Sunday and Monday, and he went 3-for-4 on Saturday. This, though, was his best game to date from a contract standpoint; he had a 107.8-mph lineout and a 106.0-mph flyout that was projected at 409 feet and would have been a homer in 15 ballparks. He also had a 99.8-mph groundout to go along with his 92.8-mph single. White had topped 105 mph in exit velocity three times in 31 games coming into the day, peaking at 108.0.

Altuve drove in three runs for the third time this season. The homer was his 269th, moving him past Joe Morgan and into sixth place all-time among second basemen. Next up on the list are Ryne Sandberg at 282 and Craig Biggio at 291. Jeff Kent, at 377, is the all-time leader. Marcus Semien, with 267, is also looking to move up the list.

Lynch struck out two and walked one as he built up to 59 pitches. This was his fourth start since joining the rotation. He pitched into the fifth after totaling four innings last time out. The 29-year-old began his career as a starter but performed better after shifting to the bullpen in recent years. For most of 2026, he was the team’s best reliever but only got one save. Perhaps that’s because a return to the rotation was the plan all along. He’s set to pitch on the road against the Guardians next time out.

Loftin launched a three-run homer off Ty Madden in the bottom of the fifth that helped Kansas City pad a lead they wouldn’t surrender. He has operated as the everyday third baseman since Maikel Garcia landed back on the injured list earlier this week, and he’s been hitting leadoff against lefties this month. The increased playing time is something to monitor in deeper fantasy formats.

The stolen base was the seventh of Perez’s career, and his first since July of 2021. He’s having his worst season as a hitter at age 36, but consistent injuries to the Royals’ lineup have kept him hitting in the heart of the order. Despite that, he’s at 58 RBI with five weeks left in the season. Perez had driven in 100+ in each of the two seasons prior to 2026.

McGonigle’s homer was a two-run shot in the fifth that tied the game at five. It’s the continuation of an incredibly valuable rookie campaign for fantasy managers, as he’s up to 14 homers, 12 steals, 83 runs, 56 RBI, and a .283 batting average. He’s also doing it with eligibility at shortstop and third base, which he’ll carry into 2027. McGonigle just recently turned 22 years old and entered Sunday with the fifth-highest fWAR total among all position players.
