Jackson’s homer gave the Orioles their lone run off Walker Buehler. He was then replaced in the sixth by Jackson Holliday, who struck out in both of his at-bats. Jackson spent the first seven weeks of the season playing pretty regularly for the Orioles, but he started to slump in May and he’s since taken a backseat to Holliday, Coby Mayo and Blaze Alexander. Although he is now 4-for-8 in his first very limited action this month, he or Mayo might be sent down when Dylan Beavers comes off the IL.

Goodman’s homer left the bat at 109.5 mph and was projected at 432 feet. He grounded out twice and struck out once in his other three at-bats tonight. In spite of the 12-day absence, Goodman is tied for fourth in the majors with 35 homers this season.

He struck out five. Adams, who has yet to throw more than 80 pitches since returning from Tommy John surgery in May, departed after 75 pitches tonight, and four solid innings was really just about all the Rockies were expecting from him. He’ll probably stick around and make another start Sunday against the Braves.

Romano improved to 9-for-10 in his save chances since joining the Rockies. It’s about at this point that the old Rockies would have given him a one-year, $10 million extension to lock him up for next season. We’d like to think the new front office isn’t so gullible, but the Mickey Moniak extension and the lack of activity at the trade deadline don’t bode particularly well.

Alvarez struck out six, but it was still a weak effort against a Rockies team that historically struggles mightily in its first game or two after a homestand. Alvarez dropped to 2-6 with a 3.72 ERA. He’s in line to face the Marlins next.

Warren gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out four. He now has a 5.97 ERA in four starts in August. Warren has a 4.39 ERA on the year. He’s lined up to face the Red Sox at home on Sunday.

Pecko gave up five hits, walked four and struck out one. After allowing just two runs in his major league debut, he gave up five runs, four walks and two home runs against the Yankees Tuesday. Pecko only had one strikeout and failed to complete five innings. He’s not currently scheduled for another start.

Robert’s home run was his 10th of the year. He hit a solo shot off Chad Patrick in the sixth inning. Robert is 13-for-41 (.317) with six home runs and 11 RBI over his last 14 games. He’s hitting .232 with a .737 OPS and 23 RBI this season.

Lindor’s home run was his 13th of the season. He hit a solo shot off Kyle Harrison in the fifth inning. Lindor made the play of the game when he had to dive to catch a line drive with the bases loaded and two outs in a tie game in the ninth inning. He’s 18-for-65 (.276) with four home runs and eight RBI over his last 17 games. He’s hitting .239 with a .756 OPS and 33 this year.

Harrison gave up six hits, walked one and struck out five. He now has a 1.88 ERA in 19 2/3 innings over four starts in August. Harrison has a 2.79 ERA in his breakout season. He’s lined up to face the Cubs on the road next week.
