Week Five is upon us and brings with it many injured players. Along with the lengthy list of players ruled out prior to today, there are other questionable situations, including Colts RB Marlon Mack and WR T.Y. Hilton. We also get our first London game of the year but you might not notice as the game was oddly scheduled to begin at the same time as nine other games at 1:00 PM eastern. The day also features only two late afternoon games, so after a busy early slate, we’ll all have a chance to relax.

(7:54PM) The Cowboys chances were slim, but they had a chance for a field goal, with hopes of an onside kick. Instead, K Brett Maher missed the field goal and Green Bay will run out the remainder of the clock to steal a road win, 34-24.

(7:31PM) TD We’ve got a game! Cowboys QB Dak Prescott dropped a nice pass just over the shoulder of WR Amari Cooper who then spun away from defenders on his way to a 53-yard touchdown. Dallas now trails by ten points with just under eight minutes remaining. Cooper has 11 receptions for a career-high 226 yards and the touchdown.

(7:13PM) The Broncos have held on to defeat the Chargers 20-13, leaving just one game ongoing as Green Bay leads Dallas 31-17 early in the fourth quarter.

(7:11PM) TD It was an ugly possession with multiple flags and multiple near-turnovers but Dallas got their touchdown on a short run from RB Ezekiel Elliott. Zeke has 88 total yards on the day with lots of time left.

(7:02PM) Some big news for the upcoming Sunday night game between the Chiefs and Colts. Three key questionable players, WR Sammy Watkins, WR T.Y. Hilton and RB Marlon Mack, will all be active.

(6:52PM) TD The Cowboys have finally found the end zone as QB Dak Prescott found WR Michael Gallup for a 40-yard score. Dallas still trails by three touchdowns late in the third quarter.

(6:44PM) TD Aaron Jones has done it again. Jones just rushed for his fourth touchdown of the game and is up to 155 total yards and is not the top-scoring back of the week. This is just the 57th time a running back has rushed for at least four touchdowns in a game.

(6:24PM) INJURY As if the Cowboys day wasn’t going bad enough already, WR Amari Cooper just limped off the field after tweaking his ankle or foot.

(6:19PM) TD The Packers have another touchdown and just like the first two, this one was courtesy of RB Aaron Jones, who scored from five yards out. Jones is up to 139 total yards and ranks as the RB2 with a lot of time left to play.

(6:02PM) The winless Broncos continue to dominate the Broncos, leading 17-0 midway through the third quarter. WR Courtland Sutton leads the team with 86 yards and a touchdown on three catches.

(5:55PM) The Packers and Cowboys are now at the half and Dallas has failed to score at home. Packers RB Aaron Jones has done most of the damage, totaling 114 yards and two scores. With WR Davante Adams out, Jones (4/48) and TE Jimmy Graham (2/35) lead the Pack in receiving.

(5:41PM) Finally, here are the top-scoring FF TEs for Week Five, so far...

TE1- Gerald Everett, LAR

TE2- Zach Ertz, PHI

TE3- Darren Fells, HOU

TE4- Jared Cook, NO

TE5- Austin Hooper, ATL

(5:35PM) BIG PLAY As time was expiring in the first half, the Chargers were marching towards a score, hoping to cut into the Broncos’ 17-0 lead. Instead of a touchdown, RB Austin Ekeler, diving for the pylon, was hit hard and fumbled through the end zone. Ekeler has 44 total yards, most of that coming as a receiver. RB Melvin Gordon leads the team in rushing, though that only means 18 yards on seven carries.

(5:16PM) Here are the top-scoring FF receivers for the week...

WR1- Will Fuller, HOU

WR2- Michael Thomas, NO

WR3- D.J. Chark, JAX

WR4- Adam Thielen, MIN

WR5- Chris Godwin, TB

(4:58PM) TD I hope you used Packers RB Aaron Jones in your fantasy lineup today. Jones just scored for the second time against the Cowboys and has 63 total yards, leading the team in rushing and receiver through the first quarter.

(4:55PM) The top-scoring FF RBs of the week...

RB1- Christian McCaffrey, CAR

RB2- Josh Jacobs, OAK

RB3- Dalvin Cook, MIN

RB4- Leonard Fournette, JAX

RB5- Sony Michel, NE

(4:52PM) INJURY Chargers WR Mike Williams missed last week’s game and was questionable to play today. He did get the start but was just shaken up and needed help to the sidelines.

(4:42PM) Let’s look at the top fantasy scorers of Week Five, so far...

QB1- Deshaun Watson, HOU

QB2- Matt Ryan, ATL

QB3- Russell Wilson, SEA

QB4- Teddy Bridgewater, NO

QB5- Kyler Murray, ARI

(4:40PM) TD The Packers are playing without RB Jamaal Williams (concussion) today, which should mean a ton of work for starter RB Aaron Jones. He has just two carries so far but one of them went for an 18-yard touchdown, giving the Pack an early lead.

(4:36PM) The late-afternoon slate gives us just two games. The Broncos already lead the Chargers 14-0 while the Packers DB Jaire Alexander just intercepted a deep pass from Cowboys QB Dak Prescott in that scoreless game.

(4:32PM) The early games have all finally concluded. Here are the finals...

Ravens 26, Steelers 23

Raiders 24, Bears 21

Cardinals 26, Bengals 23

Texans 53, Falcons 32

Panthers 34, Jaguars 27

Saints 31, Buccaneers 24

Eagles 31, Jets 6

Vikings 28, Giants 10

Patriots 33, Redskins 7

Bills 14, Titans 7

(4:27PM) TD The early games are nearly complete but the Broncos are not wasting any time. RB Phillip Lindsay scored from four yards out to give his team the early lead and then QB Joe Flacco hit WR Courtland Sutton for a 70-yarder, making it 14-0 in favor of Denver.

(4:16PM) BIG PLAY He went overlooked in this space today but Vikings RB Dalvin Cook posted another monster game, rushing for 132 yards and catching all six of his targets for 86 more yards.

(4:12PM) BIG PLAY A 24-yard scramble from QB Kyler Murray put his team in position to get the last-second win and K Zane Gonzalez nailed the field goal as time expired to earn the Cardinals first win of the season.

(4:08PM) TD Will Fuller has done it again. Another long touchdown, this one a 44-yarder, gives Fuller a ridiculous 217 yards on 14 catches in the game. He’s over 50 fantasy points now.

(4:06PM) TD WR Chris Godwin continues to establish himself as one of the top receivers in fantasy and just hauled in his second touchdown of the game, a 26-yarder. Godwin has seven grabs for 125 yards and two scores in the game.

(4:04PM) TD With RB Christian McCaffrey on the sidelines, his backup RB Reggie Bonnafon just ran for a 59-yard touchdown that puts the Panthers back in the lead, but they did miss the extra point attempt.

(4:02PM) INJURY Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey just limped off the field. He has 25 touches today with five minutes left in the game.

(4:00PM) TD The first half was all Raiders until the Bears woke up in the second half. Now, with two minutes left in the game, the Raiders have the lead again thanks to the second touchdown run of the game for rookie RB Josh Jacobs. Jacobs 23/114/2 line is easily the best of his short career.

(3:55PM) TD It has been a rough day for the Bengals Offense but they are back in the game following a pair of quick scores. First, QB Andy Dalton found WR Auden Tate for a two-yard score. Then, just over two minutes later, Dalton connected with WR Tyler Boyd for a 42-yarder to tie the game and put some life in the Bengals franchise. Boyd suddenly had 123 yards on ten catches.

(3:51PM) BIG PLAY After the Panthers went for it on fourth down to try and put the game away but failed, Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette rushed for 41 yards to give his team some space and maybe even a chance to take the lead. Fournette has 101 rushing yards and a score on the day.

(3:50PM) INJURY Ravens TE Mark Andrews, banged up for the past couple of weeks, took a hard hit on a pass over the middle and was slow to get up.

(3:47PM) TD The Patriots continue to add to their lead as QB Tom Brady hit a wide-open TE Ryan Izzo for a ten-yard score. Izzo nearly had an earlier touchdown grab as well.

(3:42PM) TD The Texans had an answer to extend their lead again as QB Deshaun Watson found TE Darren Fells for a short score, his second of the day. Watson is up to 364 yards and four scores, and already has more than 35 fantasy points.

(3:38PM) TD In a battle of two bad teams, the Bengals have shown they are the worst. Arizona used a 37-yard touchdown run from backup RB Chase Edmonds to build a 23-9 lead in Cincinnati.

(3:35PM) TD The Falcons had to challenge the play, but ultimately got credit for a rushing touchdown for QB Matt Ryan. Following that, Ryan hit TE Austin Hooper for the two-pointer to cut the Texans lead to eight points.

(3:32PM) TD Saints QB Teddy Bridgewater now has four passing touchdowns on the day and WR Michael Thomas has caught two of them. The duo connected for a 12-yard score to extend the New Orleans lead for 13 points early in the final quarter.

(3:29PM) TD The Jets have ensured they won’t be shut out as WR Vyncint Smith carried the ball for a 19-yard end around. The Eagles still lead 24-6.

(3:28PM) TD The Bills have taken the lead as QB Josh Allen found recently called-up WR Duke Williams for a seven-yard score.

(3:23PM) TD The Redskins have kept the score much closer than anyone imagined but New England is finally pulling away. The latest score comes on a short run from RB Sony Michel, who has 70 yards on 11 carries for the game. As is his MO, the touchdown will save a subpar rushing day.

(3:20PM) TD The Vikings are piling it on now as QB Kirk Cousins hit WR Adam Thielen for another touchdown, this one from nine yards out. Thielen has caught all seven balls thrown his way for 130 yards and two scores.

(3:17PM) TD After an amazing catch by breakout WR D.J. Chark, which had to be challenged by Jacksonville to even count, RB Leonard Fournette finished off the drive with a one-yard rush for the touchdown.

(3:16PM) TD Texans QB Deshaun Watson has another touchdown pass, this one going to TE Darren Fells from eight yards out. Houston now leads 33-17 over Atlanta and Watson has 322 passing yards and three touchdown passes.

(3:14PM) TD The Steelers have taken the lead over Baltimore on a short scoring run from RB James Conner. Conner has only 31 total yards on the day but saved his fantasy day with the score.

(3:10PM) TD The real Raiders have shown up as the Bears just scored their third-straight touchdown, the second for WR Allen Robinson. After trailing 17-0 at the half, the Bears lead 21-17. Robinson has a 3/39/2 line.

(3:08) INJURY Undrafted rookie QB Devlin Hodges has replaced QB Mason Rudolph, who was able to walk to the locker room, with the help of others. If you’ve ever heard of Hodges, you need to get out more.

(3:06PM) TD The Bucs are creeping back into the game after a two-yard touchdown run by RB Peyton Barber, keyed by some big catches for WR Chris Godwin, who is up to 63 yards on four receptions.

(3:05PM) TD The Bears have quickly made this a game in London as WR Allen Robinson scored on a four-yard pass from QB Chase Daniel. That was only the second catch of the day for ARob.

(3:01PM) TD Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey took the handoff and simply outran everyone on the field on his way to an 84-yard touchdown, his third of the day. If you don’t have CMC, you’re probably not winning your DFS tournament today.

(2:58PM) INJURY Steelers QB Mason Rudolph took a nasty helmet-to-helmet shot from QB Earl Thomas and appeared to be knocked out on the play. He’s certainly done for the day on a scary looking play. UPDATE: Rudolph required a stretcher to leave the field. Absolutely terrible.

(2:54PM) TD After an apparent scoring-run for QB Marcus Mariota was reversed, RB Derrick Henry got the one-yard score to give the Titans their first points of the game.

(2:46PM) TD The Saints are starting to pull away from division-rival Tampa Bay. QB Teddy Bridgewater found WR Ted Ginn for a 33-yard score and New Orleans now leads 23-10. Bridgewater is up to 235 passing yards, his most since Week Fourteen of the 2015 season.

(2:44PM) TD Texans WR Will Fuller nearly had his third touchdown of the game before being dragged down inside the one-yard line. RB Carlos Hyde did the rest and finished the early second-half drive.

(2:40PM) TD The Bears Offense has struggled all day but when the Raiders turned the ball over and gave Chicago a red zone opportunity, they took advantage. Rookie RB David Montgomery got a couple of shots and finally got the short touchdown for their first points of the game.

(2:30PM) TD The Eagles have added to their lead as QB Carson Wentz found his favorite target, TE Zach Ertz, for an 11-yard touchdown. Philly now leads 21-0 after Ertz’s first touchdown reception of the year.

(2:21PM) TD The Saints have regained the lead on a nine-yard scoring pass from QB Teddy Bridgewater to TE Jared Cook, who has been slumping all season long. Cook is up to 3/29/1 for the game.

(2:20PM TD Touchdown regression is real. Having not scored all season, Falcons RB Devonta Freeman found the paint for the first time on a nine-yard catch from QB Matt Ryan, putting the Falcons in the lead.

(2:14PM) TD Facing one of the league’s top secondaries in the Panthers, this seemed like the time to leave WR D.J. Chark on the fantasy bench. Oops. Chark just hauled in his second touchdown of the game, an 11-yarder from QB Gardner Minshew. Chark has 3/68/2 midway through the second quarter.

(2:11PM) BIG PLAY Vikings WR Adam Thielen is getting fed after his complaints a week ago. QB Kirk Cousins found Thielen who ran away from defenders on his way to a 44-yard gain. Thielen is up to 121 yards and a touchdown on six catches.

(2:10PM) INJURY Previously spotted limping into the blue medical tent, Ravens rookie WR Marquise Brown has now been sent to the locker room.

(2:05PM) INJURY Previously listed as questionable to return, Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is back on the field.

(2:04PM) TD The Bills have broken the scoring drought in Nashville as QB Josh Allen lobbed an eight-yard pass into the end zone for a wide open TE Lee Smith. WR John Brown has been doing work for the Bills and has 75 yards on five catches.

(1:59PM) INJURY Raiders rookie RB Josh Jacobs is questionable to return to the game after suffering an elbow injury.

(1:56PM) TD The Saints have taken the lead as QB Teddy Bridgewater found a wide-open WR Michael Thomas, who weaved his way into the end zone for a 14-yard score. Thomas already has five catches for 94 yards on the touchdown on the day.

(1:54PM) INJURY There had been some speculation that RB Saquon Barkley would return today. That didn’t happen and now the Giants are also without RB Wayne Gallman, who has been diagnosed with a concussion. The Giants will lean on rookie RB Jon Hilliman.

(1:50PM) TD This was supposed to be the Khalil Mack revenge game. Instead, the Raiders are running all over Mack and the Bears Defense. Oakland just got another touchdown run, this one from RB DeAndre Washington, and now lead 14-0 in London.

(1:49PM) TD The Daniel Jones era continues to look much different than the past couple of seasons with veteran QB Eli Manning under center. Jones hit fellow rookie WR Darius Slayton for a 35-yard score. We can expect Slayton to see much more playing time following the release of WR Bennie Fowler.

(1:47PM) TD The Ravens have added to their lead as rookie WR Marquise Brown made an impressive catch, hanging onto the ball in the end zone for an 11-yard score. Brown and the Ravens lead 17-7 over the Steelers.

(1:46PM) TD Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin went wild last week, finishing as the overall WR1. He’s doing it again today, hauling in a 26-yard score to give Tampa a 7-3 lead over the Saints. That was Godwin’s first catch of the game.

(1:44PM) Multiple people suggested that Texans WR Will Fuller had just missed some monster games through the first month and his poor showing would soon turn around. Here we are! After a short touchdown earlier in the game, Fuller made his typical deep play, catching a 33-yard scoring pass from QB Deshaun Watson. Fuller is up to 5/54/2 for the game.

(1:42PM) TD Always Christian McCaffrey. The Panthers back just scored for the second time today, this one coming on a short pass from QB Kyle Allen that McCaffrey broke and took 18 yards for the touchdown. Carolina leads 14-7.

(1:38PM) TD Any player facing the Bears Defense has essentially been off-limits for fantasy players but no one told Raiders rookie RB Josh Jacobs about that. Jacobs broke off a 21-yard run earlier in the game and just ran over and through Bears defenders on his way to a 12-yard scoring run. The Raiders lead 7-0.

(1:36PM TD The Vikings have a pair of squeaky wheels in WRs Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. Now, Thielen has his touchdown, a 15-yard diving catch to give the Vikings a 10-point lead. Thielen is already up to 3/38/1 on the day.

(1:32PM) TD Maybe today is the day for struggling players to breakthrough. Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster broke tackles on his way to a 35-yard touchdown catch on a perfectly thrown ball from QB Mason Rudolph. The Steelers have made a point of feeding Juju early and he has a 3/33/1 line in the early going.

(1:30PM) TD The Patriots clearly didn’t like trailing for the first time this year. QB Tom Brady moved the ball quickly and WR Julian Edelman caught a six-yard scoring pass. The Pats then missed the extra point, so they are still behind 7-6.

(1:28PM) TD The Texans didn’t talk long to answer Atlanta’s score. QB Deshaun Watson engineered a scoring drive that ended with a six-yard touchdown pass to WR Will Fuller. Fuller has caught all three of his early targets in this game for 19 yards.

(1:26PM) TD Someone has to win...the winless Cardinals and Bengals are facing off and rookie QB Kyler Murray has taken command early. Murray and the Cardinals went for it on fourth down and Murray scampered into the end zone for a six-yard score.

(1:25PM) TD Ravens QB Lamar Jackson leads his team in rushing in the early going, but it was RB Mark Ingram who scored the touchdown, giving Baltimore a 10-0 lead over the Steelers.

(1:23PM) TD The Eagles almost blew it with one of the worst snaps you’ve ever seen earlier in the drive, but QB Carson Wentz recovered and RB Jordan Howard stayed hot with another short touchdown run, after scoring three times in Week Four.

(1:21PM) TD Here’s a first...the Patriots are losing. Redskins WR Steven Sims took an end around 65 yards, breaking multiple tackles along the way and giving the Redskins a surprising early lead over New England.

(1:19PM) TD This combo of rookie QB Gardner Minshew and breakout WR D.J. Chark just might be for real. Minshew hit Chark for a 37-yard score, Chark’s fourth score of the year. He had a 20-yard catch earlier on the drive.

(1:18PM) BIG PLAY Bengals RB Joe Mixon has been one of the most disappointing players this season but he might be making up for that today. Mixon already has 60 rushing yards early in the first quarter, including an 18-yard rush.

(1:14PM) TD The Falcons have taken an early lead on a 14-yard catch by WR Mohamed Sanu. The drive was keyed by a 21-yard grab for star WR Julio Jones and the Falcons lead the Texans.

(1:11PM) TD As usual, RB Christian McCaffrey did it all for the Panthers Offense on their first drive and ended the drive with a flip into the end zone. CMC totaled 21 yards on the drive and put his team ahead of the Jags 7-0.

[[ad:athena]]

(1:09PM) BIG PLAY The Vikings’ offense has been a big story over the past week as WRs Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs each voiced their frustration with the run-heavy offense and the play of QB Kirk Cousins. Minnesota began their game against the Giants with a completed pass to Diggs and followed that quickly with one to Thielen. The Vikes had to settle for a field goal even after RB Dalvin Cook broke off a 22-yard catch and run.
