  • TEN Outside Linebacker #53

Giants signed OLB/DE Jihad Ward, formerly of the Jaguars, to an undisclosed contract.
Ward spent 2021 in Jacksonville, after playing for the Ravens in 2020. He totaled just three sacks in 17 games, with five hits and nine hurries. Entering his age-28 season, the former second-round pick will offer pass-rushing depth in New York.

  • NE Running Back #38
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) did not practice on Thursday.
We haven’t heard much on Stevenson over the past few days, but there’s also likely no good news to report. Stevenson feels overwhelming likely to be ruled out and cede carries to TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings again this week. Henderson will have an RB2 case against the Buccaneers, while Jennings’ red zone role makes him a viable FLEX.
Irving managers must be ready to pivot in Week 10
Yet to return to practice after the Bucs' Week 9 bye week and injury, Bucky Irving's absence presents big questions for Week 10 fantasy lineups. Patrick Daugherty and Denny Carter share how managers should proceed.

    Harold Fannin
    CLE Tight End #44
Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday.
Fannin was not seen practicing with the team earlier today. Now we know why. A full Thursday downgrade suggests he is highly unlikely to play in Week 10 against the Jets, vaulting TE David Njoku up the TE1 ranks. Browns WR Cedric Tillman (hamstring) should also return from injured reserve this week, though he profiles as only a boom-bust FLEX.
  • MIN Tight End #84
Vikings TE Josh Oliver (foot) did not practice on Thursday.
That makes two more DNPs in a row for Oliver, who has not practiced since hurting the foot in Week 8. He doesn’t seem to be on track for a return this week, but Kevin O’Connell said he’d begin working on a side field at some point this week. Perhaps Week 11 is a more realistic timetable for the veteran tight end at this point.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Vikings RB Aaron Jones (shoulder/toe) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
He seems to be trending in the right direction for Sunday’s game against the Ravens. Minnesota has struggled to run the ball this year and Baltimore is playing with more physicality over their past few games while using Kyle Hamilton in the box more. Considering the risk of re-injury, we’d probably classify Jones as on the RB2/RB3 borderline if he is able to play on Sunday.
  • IND Defensive Tackle #99
Colts ruled out DT DeForest Buckner (neck) for Week 10 against the Falcons.
This is a notable loss for the Colts, who are tasked with containing the Falcons’ rushing attack this week. Buckner ranks second on the team in quarterback pressures (33) and sacks (four), and sixth in tackles (29). The Colts are on bye in Week 11 and face the Chiefs in Week 12. Hopefully, he is good to go by then.
  • WAS Running Back #22
Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (tooth) practiced in full on Thursday.
He shouldn’t be in any danger of missing Sunday’s game against the Lions. His fantasy stock, unfortunately, is well down with the Jayden Daniels injury and Washington’s inability to move the ball through the air. He’ll be an RB3-caliber play against the Lions in a game that the Commanders are underdogs in by over a touchdown at home.
  • NYG Tight End #84
Giants TE Theo Johnson (shoulder) practiced in full on Thursday.
He’s well on track to playing against the Bears in Week 10. The matchup should pull him to the borderline of the TE1 zone this week, and Johnson is coming off a 3/27/1 game against the 49ers in Week 9.
  • CAR Running Back #5
Panthers RB Rico Dowdle (quad) was limited on Thursday.
Panthers head coach Dave Canales told reporters on Wednesday that the team is trying to be smart about Dowdle’s injury. While this is a positive, it would be nice to see Dowdle upgrade to full participation on Friday. The Panthers’ new No. 1 running back visibly played through the pain last week. He will undoubtedly do so again, if he is capable of it, but this is worth watching.
  • CAR Defensive End #95
Panthers DE Derrick Brown (elbow) was limited on Thursday.
Mid-week additions to the injury report are concerning, particularly for a team’s lynchpin defender. Brown is a difference-maker as both a pass rusher and run defender, boasting 16 quarterback pressures, four sacks and 20 tackles. Whether the Saints can exploit his potential absence on Sunday is up for debate, but having him on the field is certainly ideal for Carolina.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #5
Bills WR Joshua Palmer (knee/ankle) was limited on Thursday.
Palmer could still suit up on game day this weekend, but an upgrade to full would have been nice to see. The Bills’ perimeter wide receiver production continues to be an issue for them. Palmer’s potential return should help, but he is unlikely to be a savior of sorts, particularly in a likely run-heavy game script against the Dolphins.
