Jaguars signed DL Arden Key, formerly of the 49ers, to a one-year contract.

Key signed late in the free agency period, but it wasn’t due to a lack of suitors. After visiting Detroit, Baltimore, and Kansas City, Key lands with Jacksonville. Per NFL Networks’ Mike Garafolo, his new deal can be worth up to $7 million. Key joins the Jaguars after racking up eight sacks for the 49ers in 2021. Entering his age-26 season, he should provide pass-rushing help and versatility along the defensive line.

Chris Brooks (ankle) will not play in Green Bay’s Week 5 game against the Bears.

This was foreshadowed a bit by the appearance of Pierre Strong Jr. on the roster. It’s unclear how the Packers will handle third-down reps between Strong, Kaleb Johnson, and MarShawn Lloyd on Sunday. Strong was on the field for 138 passes of his 192 snaps in 2024 with the Browns.

Broncos placed Pat Bryant on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Bryant will be eligible to return from injured reserve in Week 9, when the Broncos face the Panthers. The Broncos go on bye in Week 10, though, so if he isn’t feeling ready to play, they could hold him out until they face the division-rival Raiders in Week 11. Bryant’s absence could create more opportunities for Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims, but Jaylen Waddle may end up hogging targets instead.

Jeffery Simmons (back) is not on Tennessee’s final Week 5 injury report.

He went from a Wednesday DNP to a Friday full session and should see his normal allotment of snaps and havoc-causing against Houston’s beleaguered interior offensive line.

Tony Pollard (foot) is not on Tennessee’s final Week 5 injury report.

Pollard will take on the 0-4 Texans, who have had some trouble handling the run, and should be a viable low-end RB2 this week. He continues to get Wednesday vet days while dealing with this foot injury, but doesn’t seem to be in any real danger of missing time.

Colts C Tanor Bortolini (ankle) is not on Indianapolis’ final Week 5 injury report.

He went from a Wednesday DNP to a Friday full practice and should be fine to start for the Colts this week.

Colts WR Darius Slayton (knee) is questionable for Week 5 against the Steelers.

The Colts are banged up at wide receiver and ESPN’s Stephen Holder believes this might have been the week the Colts finally got Slayton involved. He suffered a knee injury in Friday’s practice, though. He does not need to be rostered in 12-team formats.

Ashton Dulin (hamstring) won’t play in Indianapolis’ Week 5 game against the Steelers.

After dealing with an ankle injury that sidelined him most of the first three weeks, Dulin picked up a hamstring injury and did not practice all week before being ruled out ahead of this game. Laquon Treadwell prayer starts remain on the fantasy football menu.

Keenan Allen (rest/groin) is questionable for Indianapolis’ Week 5 game against the Steelers.

He did upgrade to a full practice today so he’s at least likely on the optimistic side of questionable. Still, we were hoping he’d be cleared off the line entirely today, so it does give us a little hesitation that he could practice all three times this week, including one full, and still be questionable. The Colts don’t really have much else behind him.

Saints TE Noah Fant (abdomen) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 5 against the Vikings.

Fant sat out in Week 4 after scoring two touchdowns in Week 3. He is not fantasy-relevant on his own, but he can serve as a checkdown option for Tyler Shough. The Saints labeled WR Barion Brown (thigh) questionable to play this week.

Rico Dowdle (toe) is questionable for Pittsburgh’s Week 5 game against the Colts.

He did practice three consecutive days, even if they were all limited sessions. We’d regard Dowdle as on the optimistic side of questionable to return and cut in to Jaylen Warren’s full-time workload. It’s a good matchup against a Colts line that has, at times, had issues defending the run game. Dowdle will be a hard-to-start FLEX if active with a questionable workload.
