Blaine Gabbert completed 15-of-30 attempts for 154 yards in the Chiefs’ 13-12 Week 18 win against the Chargers, adding four rushes for 47 yards.

Gabbert functioned mostly as a handoff machine in a meaningless game before KC heads into the postseason. Gabbert mostly checked down to Mecole Hardman and the team’s running backs, while occasionally showing off his wheels. Patrick Mahomes will be under center next week.

Lamar Jackson (thumb) is questionable to return in Week 8 against the Bills.

Shortly after he exited the field the team announced that Jackson was questionable to return after suffering a thumb injury on his throwing hand. Tyler Huntley immediately took over for Jackson, as the Ravens’ offense went three-and-out on their first drive of the game.

Lamar Jackson (hand) exited in the first quarter of Week 8’s game against the Bills.

Jackson dropped back to pass on the Ravens’ first offensive play of the game and immediately headed for the sideline after hitting his hand on Bills LB Greg Rousseau. The injury was to Jackson’s throwing hand and appeared to be to his thumb, judging by what we could see on slow-motion replay. Trainers covered Jackson’s hand with a towel and immediately ushered him to the locker room. We will check back in when we receive more information on his status.

Deshaun Watson is being evaluated for a concussion in Week 8 against the Steelers.

Watson was sacked on the second play of the game and then hit as he threw on the next play. The facemask of Steelers defender Jaquan Brisker hit the side of Watson’s helmet, and Watson was pulled into the blue tent for evaluation.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if the Chiefs trade for a wide receiver.

Rapoport then named Josh Downs and Brian Thomas Jr. as players to keep an eye on. Both wideouts are in the midst of down years and their teams have already leaked that they are on the trade block. Thomas Jr. would hopefully unlock the once-vaunted Patrick Mahomes deep ball. Downs, on the other hand, would be another underneath weapon for a passing attack that his simply asking too much of Rashee Rice right now. Both players’ fantasy stock would skyrocket via a trade.

Browns declared QB Dillon Gabriel, QB Taylen Green, LB Justin Jefferson, CB Noah Igbinoghene, RB Audric Estime, and C Parker Brailsford inactive for Week 8 against the Steelers.

Gabriel was activated off of injured reserve at the beginning of the week and will serve as the team’s emergency third quarterback ahead of rookie Taylen Green. The Browns enter Week 8 with a relatively healthy depth chart, making their inactives healthy scratches against the Steelers.

Also inactive for the Falcons are S Billy Bowman, QB Andy Dalton, LB Drake Jackson, CB Robert Longerbeam, RB Brian Robinson, QB Jack Strand.

Anthony Gould (concussion) won’t play in Indianapolis’ Week 8 game against the Jaguars.

The biggest news for fantasy purposes with the Colts inactives is simply that Jonathan Taylor and Josh Downs are up, but that isn’t exactly surprising. Gould practiced in full the last two days of the week before being ruled out and stands a chance at being ready for Week 8. Inactive for the Colts are: LB Bryce Boettcher (groin), TE Pharaoh Brown, DT Kevin Givens, T Charlie Heck, QB Riley Leonard (third quarterback) and CB Justin Walley (knee).
