Alec Pierce caught his lone target for 16 yards in the Colts’ Week 15 loss against the Seahawks.
Pierce was always going to be a loser of the Colts’ Philip Rivers experiment. Pierce generally operates as an intermediate and deep target, and he now has a 44-year-old quarterback who is physically unable to throw it more than 20 yards or so. Pierce’s lone grab in Week 15 came near the sideline; Pierce boxed out his defender and made a nice grab on a floater from the weak-armed Rivers. Pierce isn’t fantasy viable for as long as Rivers is under center.

Bears RB D’Andre Swift (groin) is questionable for Chicago’s Week 16 game against the Packers.
Jaguars offer moneyline value vs. Broncos
Drew Dinsick and Jay Croucher break down Jaguars at Broncos, noting the narrow gap between the teams, Jacksonville's offensive reliability, Denver's defensive pressure, and angles on the moneyline and total.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #10
Bears ruled out WR Luther Burden (ankle) for Week 16 against the Packers.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #15
Bears ruled out WR Rome Odunze (foot) for Week 16 against the Packers.
  • SF Wide Receiver #1
Ricky Pearsall (knee/ankle) will not practice on Thursday, but there is a “possibility” he plays in Week 16 against the Colts.
  • CLE Tight End #85
Browns TE David Njoku (knee) was not seen practicing on Thursday.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #88
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (illness) was not seen practicing on Thursday.
  • CLE Running Back #22
Browns RB Dylan Sampson (calf) was not present during the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday.
Sampson played through the calf injury in Week 14. Perhaps that was a mistake. The Browns’ rookie running back has neither practiced nor played since then. He is firmly on the wrong side of questionable for Week 16, likely leaving Quinshon Judkins and Trayveon Williams as the Browns’ top-two running backs.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
Bengals WR Tee Higgins (concussion) “arrived with a helmet for the last minute of practice.”
Technically, Higgins could end up being listed as a limited participant, though this participation level is hardly encouraging for his Week 16 availability. Hopefully, Higgins can practice fully tomorrow, or at least increase his limited participation level. Stay tuned.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
Bengals WR Tee Higgins (concussion) was not spotted at practice on Thursday.
Oh, dear. This is unfortunate. Higgins practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday. If he is unable to participate today, it likely means that he suffered a setback. The Bengals face the Dolphins this week. Both teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. With Higgins sidelined, the Bengals had WR Andrei Iosivas operate as the No. 2, while Mitchell Tinsley handled No. 3 duties.
  • NYJ Safety #22
Jets placed S Tony Adams on injured reserve with a groin injury.
Adams missed one game after injuring his groin in Week 2. It appears as though he suffered a re-injury late in the season, though. Adams totaled 36 tackles, one quarterback pressure, one sack and five pass breakups this season. The Jets signed DT Payton Page to the active roster.
