Welcome to AM’s Perfect XI - Week 37 player picks. This column focuses on Togga’s Perfect XI game, which you can play via their IOS and Android app. Find the apps here and make sure you update regularly to take advantage of the constant enhancements: https://www.playtogga.com
We’ve set up a Rotoworld PL Private League which allows you to challenge myself and the rest of the RW PL team over the course of the season. To join it download the app and then click the below link from your device, or find us from the Featured Leagues tab:
Each week I provide a Perfect XI of my own for the upcoming gameweek, recommending 11 players to consider along with some honourable mentions. The players listed won’t necessarily be the exact 11 selected for my own Perfect XI fantasy side. The point of this column isn’t to tell you exactly who to pick; it’s to present some ideas and get your brain whirring. I’ll be listing a combination of the must-haves and slightly riskier options, alongside the odd hunch. Hopefully you’ll find this useful whether you’re playing Togga’s game or looking at potential transfers for your official Fantasy Premier League team.
Week 36 worked out well as the Arsenal & Southampton double-gamers helped push my own PXI side over the magical 200 point barrier. With just two weeks to go I’m back in to the overall Top 80 but a strong finish is required to ensure I stay there.
Week 37 starts on Friday night and throws us more double-week madness, as ten teams play twice over the course of seven days.
Here are the fixtures in full:
Friday 12th May
Everton v Watford
West Brom v Chelsea
Saturday 13th May
Manchester City v Leicester
Bournemouth v Burnley
Middlesbrough v Southampton
Sunderland v Swansea City
Stoke v Arsenal
Sunday 14th May
Crystal Palace v Hull City
West Ham v Liverpool
Tottenham v Manchester United
Monday 15th May
Chelsea v Watford
Tuesday 16th May
Arsenal v Sunderland
Manchester City v West Brom
Wednesday 17th May
Southampton v Manchester United
Thursday 18th May
Leicester City v Tottenham
And here is an simple breakdown of the team’s with two games, listed in order of “easiest” fixtures (in my opinion):
Manchester City – Leicester (H), West Brom (H)
Chelsea – West Brom (A), Watford (H)
Arsenal – Stoke (A), Sunderland (H)
Tottenham – Man United (H), Leicester (A)
Southampton – Middlesbrough (A), Man United (H)
Manchester United – Spurs (A), Southampton (A)
Leicester – Man City (A), Spurs (H)
Sunderland – Swansea (H), Arsenal (A)
Watford – Everton (A), Chelsea (A)
West Brom – Chelsea (H), Man City (A)
Plenty of choice there and so this week’s column is looking exclusively at double-gamers. I’d advise you to do the same, with a focus on Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal. Here’s the list of the players I’m considering ...
