Titans signed WR Fred Brown, formerly of the Broncos.
The contract is reported to be for multiple years but the terms have yet to be released. Brown was a standout on special teams in 2019, earning 203 snaps while appearing in 13 games. He also made one start at receiver but was waived a week into the 2020 season. Brown will contribute primarily on special teams if he makes the Titans’ final roster but could see a few snaps at receiver given how barren the Tennessee receiving room is.

    Broncos waived WR Fred Brown.
A UDFA out of Mississippi State, Brown primarily shined with 203 snaps on special teams, making a single start for Emmanuel Sanders once the veteran was dealt to San Francisco mid-season. He’ll likely revert to the team’s practice squad assuming he clears waivers.

  • FA Wide Receiver #82
Broncos WR Fred Brown played 46-of-73 snaps (63 percent) in Week 8 against the Colts.
Brown started in two-wide sets in place of Emmanuel Sanders. He outsnapped DaeSean Hamilton, who was held without a catch. Brown was only targeted twice Sunday and doesn’t look like more than a placeholder. Tim Patrick (broken hand, IR) should take over the starting role when he returns in Week 11.

Rams signed WR Fred Brown, DT Omarius Bryant, C Jake Eldrenkamp, CB Dominique Hatfield, TE Henry Krieger-Coble, TE Johnny Mundt, CB Taurean Nixon, OLB Ejuan Price, FB Sam Rogers and CB Marcus Sayles to reserve/future contracts.
An UDFA out of Mississippi State, Brown caught seven passes for 99 yards and a touchdown in the preseason.
