PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Graeme McDowell has at least one reason to look forward to the summer - his wife is expecting.
McDowell said Friday that his wife, Kristin, is pregnant with their first child. She learned this week it will be a girl. He says the baby is due at the end of August. That’s a busy time of the year for the 2010 U.S. Open champion because of the FedEx Cup playoffs and the Ryder Cup in Scotland.
McDowell says he learned on New Year’s Day that his wife was pregnant, shortly after they returned from seeing his family in Northern Ireland. They were married in October in the Bahamas.
His wife has a 5-year-old daughter from a previous marriage, so McDowell says he already knows plenty about Disney princesses.
