Who says you can’t hit a submerged golf ball?
One week after his near-miss at Riviera, Sergio Garcia found himself 4 over through eight holes on Thursday at the Honda Classic and looking for any way not to drop another shot.
So after putting his drive on the par-5 18th in the water - Garcia started on the back - he chose to put on his rain suit and play from the drink rather than take a drop:
Garcia would play his third shot to the middle of the green and two-putt from just under 50 feet for a creative par. The unlikely spark after a difficult opening nine propelled him to a score of 2 under on the front side and a 2-over 72 for the round.
