Kim Ochoa and Webb Move Up in Rankings

Mi Hyun Kim bested two of the hottest players on the LPGA Tour on Sunday at the Ginn Clubs & Resorts Open, a win that vaulted her 13 places to No. 15 in the latest Rolex World Rankings.

The players Kim edged -- Lorena Ochoa and Karrie Webb -- continued their hot play and were also rewarded with one-spot jumps in the rankings, Ochoa to fourth and Webb to eighth.

Annika Sorenstam finished fourth on Sunday, but remained the world No. 1, and she was again followed by Michelle Wie and Paula Creamer at second and third.

Ochoa’s jump to fourth dropped Japan’s Yuri Fudoh to fifth, where she was followed by Cristie Kerr, Juli Inkster, Webb, Ai Miyazato and Jeong Jang to round out the top 10. Miyazato lost the eighth spot to Webb.

Hee-Won Han moved up one place to 11th, dropping Brittany Lang to 12th. Natalie Gulbis remained 13th and was trailed by Shiho Ohyama, Kim, Jee Young Lee, Sakura Yokomine, Meena Lee, Pat Hurst and Akiko Fukushima to round out the top 20.

Dropping out of the top 20 this week were Kasumi Fujii, who fell one place to 21st, and Catriona Matthew, who slipped three spots to 22nd.
