Grant Sherfield started and played 24 minutes in Monday’s 73-70 win over the Heat, posting a lint of eight points (4-of-10 FGs), one rebound, five assists, and three steals.
With Jordan Goodwin held out due to a sore knee, Sherfield slid into the starting point guard role on Monday. While the perimeter shot was an issue, with the former Oklahoma standout missing all four of his 3-point attempts, Sherfield was able to do a solid job of running the Suns’ offense. Barry Brown Jr. also started, finishing with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 24 minutes. Depending on how the Suns handle Goodwin for the remainder of the week in Las Vegas, Brown and Sherfield would be first in line to benefit if he sits.
