Falcons selected Wisconsin OT Jack Nelson with the No. 218 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Nelson was (6’7/318) a fixture on the Wisconsin line for the last four years, making 50 starts and recording 3,179 snaps while receiving All-Big Ten honors twice. His play crested at left tackle last year allowing just one sack and 9 total pressures in 369 pass reps for a commendable 82.2 pass block grade. He projects as an asset in the run game, specifically on outside zone plays where he grades out positively 21.3% of the time. Nelson is balanced enough to sustain blocks and has adequate fundamentals. However, opposing defenders are frequently able to take advantage of his below average movement traits and soft anchor to create havoc plays. Nelson will join an Atlanta offensive line graded by PFF as last year’s ninth best pass blocking unit.
  • ATL Offensive Lineman #69
Wisconsin redshirt freshman RG Jack Nelson (undisclosed) left Saturday’s 52-3 and did not return.
Nelson (6'7/304) has been the starting right guard for Wisconsin in every game this season. Per Pro Football Focus, Nelson has logged 535 snaps on the season, and has allowed just one sack on the season and eight quarterback pressures. With no additional news on Nelson’s injury after the game, we will wait to get an update later in the week on his Week 11 status against Northwestern.
