Pyburn

Pyburn (6'4/258) played as a reserve at Florida for his first two years in college, and then got a chance to start in 2024 before transferring to LSU for his final year. He was relatively productive in that 2025 campaign, finishing with 52 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss with two of those sacks. The latter is the biggest concern going forward as he hasn’t shown much ability to get to the quarterback, but Pyburn been stout in the run game. He bounces off blockers to make plays behind the line of scrimmage in that regard. Pyburn projects as a special teams contributor who will need to show more playmaking ability off the edge to garner consistent playing time.

Pyburn (6'3/265) is a high three-star recruit who received 29 offers and had whittled his list down to Florida, Miami and Auburn. He visited Florida this past weekend and as a result, they have extended him an offer. The campus is just 72 miles from his hometown of Jacksonville so the prospect of playing close to family was too enticing to pass up. Pyburn is rated as the 36th best edge defender from the 2022 prep class and sports a strong .8850 player rating on the 247Sports composite board. His commitment is a big win for HC Billy Napier this late in the recruiting cycle.

Up until Sunday, Auburn and Miami looked to be the two teams Pyburn would choose from, but it looks like there’s a new player in the mix. The three-star pass rusher is considering staying local as he may go to Gainesville. He visited Florida this past weekend and as a result, they have extended him an offer. The campus is just 72 miles from his hometown of Jacksonville, so if he wants to stay local then the Gators is the spot. Pyburn is the 39th ranked Edge rusher according to 247 composite.
