    Jason Parker announced his retirement from professional baseball.
    The Yankees acquired the right-hander in August of 2021 in the deal that sent Luis Cessa to the Reds. He posted a 4.18 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 96/35 K/BB ratio over 84 innings at Low-A ball during the 2021 season and did not pitch in 2022. Best of luck to the 24-year-old in whatever comes next in his life.

    Parker, 23, was a 16th-round pick of the Reds in the 2019 Draft. He holds a 4.05 ERA and 91/33 K/BB ratio over 80 innings at the Low-A level this season.
