    Reds released RHP Jermaine Vanheyningen.
The Reds signed the 23-year-old hurler to a minor league pact back in February. He wound up appearing in just nine games for the Reds Rookie League affiliate, posting a 5.23 ERA, 2.23 WHIP and 13/16 K/BB ratio in 10 1/3 innings of work. He’s an intriguing arm, but is still very raw and a long way away from potentially contributing at the big league level.

Reds signed RHP Jermaine Vanheyningen to a minor league contract.
The 23-year-old hurler played junior college ball at Florence-Darlington Technical College before pitching one season at Florida International University in 2021. He went undrafted after posting an 8.56 ERA, 2.05 WHIP and 10/18 K/BB ratio over 13 2/3 innings at FIU. He has some raw talent, but is nothing more than minor league bullpen depth at this stage.
