An All-Mountain West tackle with the Aztecs, Long will move to end in Romeo Crennel’s 3-4 scheme. Long ranked second on the team in tackles (73), tackles for loss (8) and sacks (5) in 2011, finishing second in the conference among defensive linemen with 5.6 stops per game. He’ll battle for a roster spot in Kansas City.

Drawing comparisons to Wes Welker “every day of his life,” Wylie projects as a long-term slot receiver and punt returner. Formerly a top prospect, Gray has a chance to take Jackie Battle’s roster spot as the final running back. Long will vie for a backup spot on the defensive line. Hemingway will help more on special teams than at receiver.

Long, 23, is a former undrafted free agent out of San Diego State. The Cowboys became familiar with him when Long impressed at a recent minicamp tryout.

Long was selected in the seventh round of this past year’s draft out of San Diego State. He’ll be looking to make an impression for 2013 and beyond.

A 6-foot-4, 281-pound ‘tweener end/tackle, Long was signed off the Chiefs’ practice squad late last season. He was not in the new regime’s plans.

Long played 46 snaps in the first three games, recording no sacks or quarterback hurries. He loses his job to Drake Nevis.

Long, 23, was in camp with Dallas before being among final cuts. The Cowboys are desperate on the D-Line after losing Jay Ratliff to PUP and Anthony Spencer to a knee surgery setback. They also traded away DL Sean Lissemore.
