Dodgers OF prospect Johan Mieses launched a pair of home runs Monday in a win for High-A Rancho Cucamonga.
Mieses drove in a career-high six runs as the Quakes cruised to a 12-1 victory over visiting Inland Empire. Monday marked his first career multi-homer game. The 21-year-old has hit safely in five of his last six games, batting .385 with 10 RBI during that span. Mieses carries a disappointing .228 average this year with 105 strikeouts in 325 at-bats but has made up for it with 16 home runs, which ranks second in the California League. He’s also seventh in doubles with 23.
