    Saints waived WR Josh Huff.
The Saints also cut ties with S Rickey Jefferson, who tore his ACL in Friday’s preseason game against Arizona. Huff hasn’t logged an NFL snap since 2016 and is facing a two-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse and personal conduct policies. Drafted as a third-round pick out of Oregon in 2014, the 26-year-old has yet to become an NFL difference-maker.

Philly Voice’s Jimmy Kempski singled out WR Josh Huff as one of the major disappointments at Eagles’ OTAs.
“So many drops,” Kempski wrote about Huff. It’s been the big problem for Huff since he entered the league as a 2014 third-rounder. Now that his college coach, Chip Kelly, isn’t around to keep Huff on “scholarship,” his spot is in real danger. 2015 first-rounder Nelson Agholor has also dropped a lot of balls this spring.

The Philadelphia Inquirer expects Josh Huff to make the final roster.
Huff’s roster chances took a hit with the addition of Dorial Green-Beckham, but his return value should save his spot. He shouldn’t open the season higher than the No. 4 receiver.

Rueben Randle has been working with the second-team offense at the start of Eagles camp.
Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, and Josh Huff have been working with the ones. Last month, Randle was given the “early edge” for the No. 3 job, but the coaching staff appears to be drawn to Huff’s upside for the time being. It’s not the first time Huff has been tried with the first-team offense, but he’s salted those opportunities away in the past due to drop-filled training camps.
  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Eagles WR Josh Huff caught his two targets for 60 yards and rushed twice for ten yards and a touchdown in Saturday night’s third preseason game.
Huff was surprisingly heavily involved with the first-team offense, running twice on jet sweeps and scoring on one where he simply outran the Colts’ defense around the corner. Huff is a gadget player who chips in on special teams.
  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Coach Doug Pederson said Josh Huff will play Week 9 against the Giants.
This is just the latest in NFL teams not caring what you do off the field as long as you can play. Huff doesn’t have much game, but he’s proven to be a capable kick returner. He’ll continue to handle that despite his Tuesday arrest.

Updating a previous item, Eagles WR/KR Josh Huff was also charged with DUI on Tuesday in New Jersey.
This was left out of the original report. On top of DUI, Huff was also busted for speeding, possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a weapon, carrying six hollow-point bullets, and tinted windows. The Eagles are “aware” of the incident and “gathering more information.” Huff’s job is in danger.
  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Eagles WR Josh Huff was arrested early Tuesday morning on speeding and marijuana charges in Philadelphia.
Huff also had a gun. It’s unclear if he possessed the proper permit. “We are aware of the incident today involving Josh Huff,” the team said in a statement. “At this point, we are gathering more information.” The Chip Kelly holdover has 13 catches for 72 yards through six games. His roster spot is likely in danger.

Bucs signed former Eagles WR Josh Huff to the practice squad.
Huff was waived by the Eagles last week after being arrested for DUI among other violations. He went through waivers unclaimed, but the Bucs will give him a shot on the practice squad. A better special teamer than offensive player, Huff is unlikely to solve Tampa’s receiver woes.

    Eagles waived WR Josh Huff.
Coach Doug Pederson said Wednesday Huff would play this week despite being arrested and charged with DUI, speeding, and possession early Tuesday morning, but the organization apparently had a change of heart. A good special teamer who does not bring much on offense, Huff is unlikely to be claimed on waivers.
