An undrafted free agent out of small-school Catawba, Rolle will play in the second half of Thursday’s preseason finale before likely being released.

Rolle is a former UDFA out of small-school Catawba.

Rolle earned 202 defensive snaps with the Texans in 2014, but he was mostly a special teamer with two teams in 2015 before missing all of last year with an Achilles’ tear. The Cardinals have a need at corner, but Rolle is just a flier.

Rolle played 64 snaps for the Ravens last season after being in on over 200 for the Texans the previous year. He’s bounced all over the league since entering as an UDFA out of small-school Catawba in 2013.

Rolle apparently suffered the injury during the first practice of training camp. CB Elie Bouka (ankle) will also head for tests. Unless this injury ends up being significant, Rolle will compete for a role in a lackluster corner group after sitting out all of 2016 with an Achilles’ tear.

Both players were dealing with hamstring injuries. Rolle missed all of 2016 with a torn Achilles’. He’s appeared in nine regular season games since 2014.

Rolle was released from the Cardinals last month with an injury settlement. He’s an end-of-the-roster flier after missing 2016 with a torn Achilles. Rolle adds depth following Buffalo’s trade of Ronald Darby.
