Khyri Thomas’ right Achilles injury is “not severe,” according to coach Stephen Silas.
That’s terrific news for Thomas, who had an MRI to determine the extent of the damage. It wasn’t too bad and won’t affect his offseason plans, so he’ll be ready to fight for a meaningful role when training camp arrives.

Khyri Thomas (Achilles) will not play in the season finale on Sunday.
We’re still waiting for the results of his tests after he “tweaked” his Achilles. Hopefully it’s minor because he made a big impression on the Rockets and could crack the rotation next season.

Khyri Thomas will have an MRI on Saturday after he “tweaked” his Achilles tendon during Friday’s game.
Hopefully it’s minor and the imaging is a mere precaution. Prior to getting hurt and limping into the locker room, Thomas was having yet another productive night with 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting, five assists, three blocks and three rebounds. We’re not expecting to see him in Sunday’s season finale vs. the Hawks.

The Rockets are signing Khyri Thomas to a multi-year contract, according to Kelly Iko and Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic.
Houston inked Thomas to a ten-day deal last week and he has been excellent for the Rox, averaging 16.3 points, 5.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 30.8 minutes in the four games he’s played. The team waived DaQuan Jeffries to create room on the roster for Thomas.

Christian Wood (ankle) and Danuel House (ankle) will not play on Wednesday vs. the Lakers.
The Rockets only have two more games on their schedule after today, but the good news is that they don’t come as a back-to-back, so perhaps we’ll see Wood again one more time this season. With both Wood and House on the sidelines tonight, expect big minutes for Kelly Olynyk, Cameron Oliver and Khyri Thomas.

Khyri Thomas came off the bench and hit 6-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers for 18 points, four rebounds and five assists in 29 minutes of Monday’s 140-129 loss to the Blazers.
Thomas’ career high in Detroit was 13 points, yet he’s scored 16, 27 and 18 points in his three games with the Rockets this season. And after losing Danuel House tonight to an ankle injury, Thomas should be able to keep it going until the end of the season. He had 27 points, five rebounds, three assists, five steals, two blocks and four 3-pointers on Saturday and should be rostered everywhere for the rest of the week.

Khyri Thomas played 34 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Jazz, recording a line of 27 points (10-of-21 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, five steals, two blocks and four 3-pointers.
Thomas, who scored 16 in his Rockets debut Friday night, was even better in Salt Lake City. Houston had just eight available players in this one, and two of them (D.J. Augustin and Danuel House) played 18 minutes apiece. So long as the Rockets remain this undermanned, which is likely to be the case in the season’s final week, players like Thomas will be able to use the games as auditions of sorts for the entire league. Jae’Sean Tate struggled with his shot but nearly posted his first career triple-double, finishing with 13 points (5-of-18 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), eight rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Avery Bradley (personal reasons) is without a timetable for return.
Bradley joins the long list of Rockets who are currently sidelined due to either injury or personal reasons. With the veteran guard without a timeline for return, players such as Armoni Brooks and Khyri Thomas will get to play plenty as Houston finishes its season.

Khyri Thomas scored a career-high 16 points in his Houston debut on Friday vs. the Bucks, adding three rebounds, one assist, three steals, one block and two triples on 6-of-7 shooting.
The Rockets only had seven players available tonight prior to signing Thomas to a 10-day contract. Khyri made 34 appearances in two previous seasons with the Pistons and was very limited offensively, making a living on the defensive side instead. That makes tonight’s line very encouraging, but we won’t overreact to a one-game sample size given the circumstances. Keep an eye on him in case Kevin Porter Jr., Christian Wood and Jae’Sean Tate continue to miss time.

The Hawks have waived Khyri Thomas.
Thomas was brought over to Atlanta as part of the Dewayne Dedmond deal, but the Hawks never intended to keep him on the roster. It’s possible he’ll land a training camp deal somewhere, but Thomas is far off the radar in fantasy hoops.
